Question 2 of 10
2. This map is a remake of Five from "Black Ops 1" and on Five, the Vermin-class enemy was the famous Pentagon Thief, one of the most beloved and iconic Vermin enemies in franchise history. Does the Pentagon Thief return on Classified?

Question 3 of 10
3. Upon turning the power on, a second Vermin-class enemy appears, one who did not show up on Five. The cast of playable characters know this enemy very well, however. Who is it? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. This map boasts both the easiest and hardest Easter Egg Main Quest in "Call of Duty" history: completing the quest is extremely easy to explain, as there is only one single step that must be taken. What must be done to finish this map's Easter Egg Main Quest? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Players are encouraged to 'acquire the Project Skadi prototype' and, on console, are even rewarded with trophies for doing so. What is the Project Skadi prototype? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Earning Pack-a-Punch on this map is a wee bit different than on Five. Similarly to Five, players must activate Defcon-5 and then make for the closest teleporter. However, they will never reach Pack-a-Punch without one particular trinket needed to tamper with the teleporter. What do they need here? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. The setting for Pack-a-Punch sure is a lot different than Five, taking place on Groom Lake. Groom Lake itself may look quite familiar to longtime Zombies players. Which older map previously harbored Groom Lake? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Within Groom Lake lies a secret challenge. Players who remain in Groom Lake for three full, consecutive rounds, receive what for an award? Hint

Question 9 of 10

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This map sees players playing as the familiar crew of Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai. There is one key difference between the four here and the four on many other maps which had come out since "Black Ops 3" and even "Black Ops 2". Which of the following is true about the crew here?

Answer: This is Ultimis, not Primis

It is the Ultimis versions of the four players play as here, as opposed to the typical Primis. Players had not played as anyone from Ultimis since all the way back in "Black Ops 1", so for some, it may be a nice breath of fresh air or even maybe a nostalgia trip.
2. This map is a remake of Five from "Black Ops 1" and on Five, the Vermin-class enemy was the famous Pentagon Thief, one of the most beloved and iconic Vermin enemies in franchise history. Does the Pentagon Thief return on Classified?

Answer: No

The Pentagon Thief was scrapped, lazily replaced by Hellhounds which occupy this role on dozens of other maps. When players criticize this map for seeming bland, rushed and a cheap knock off of the original Five, the removal of the Pentagon Thief will typically be atop the list of reasons why this map is inferior to the original version.
3. Upon turning the power on, a second Vermin-class enemy appears, one who did not show up on Five. The cast of playable characters know this enemy very well, however. Who is it?

Answer: Nova 6 Crawlers

When killed by any sort of projectile, Nova 6 Crawlers will die, then shortly after explode and disorient the screens of any player hit by the explosion. Each of the four playable characters are also, at some point, going to loudly complain about how bad they smell, whether they're hit by a Nova 6 Crawler or not.
4. This map boasts both the easiest and hardest Easter Egg Main Quest in "Call of Duty" history: completing the quest is extremely easy to explain, as there is only one single step that must be taken. What must be done to finish this map's Easter Egg Main Quest?

Answer: Reach Round 150

Reaching Round 150 is both the first and last step of this entire Easter Egg Main Quest. It really is that simple and that stupid. As a point of reference, solo players are expected to require anywhere from 8-10 hours of gameplay to reach this round. It's even worse for co-op players, as now the range is closer to 10-12 hours and, unlike the solo players, co-op players cannot really pause the game.

The pause function exists, but is notoriously buggy and risks having everyone but the host be forced out of the game if a game is left paused for too long. Either way, this quest is the longest Easter Egg Main Quest in the franchise by far, yet only has one single step which is extremely easy to conceptualize.
5. Players are encouraged to 'acquire the Project Skadi prototype' and, on console, are even rewarded with trophies for doing so. What is the Project Skadi prototype?

Answer: Winter's Howl

The quest to receive the Winter's Howl is fine and fair enough, and can be done relatively quickly. There are three major problems here, though-

1. The Winter's Howl can easily be acquired through the Mystery Box instead of going on a quest to get it

2. The quest to get it involves players warping their build a fair bit to get it, when they could just use the box and leave their build untouched

3. The Winter's Howl sucks! This is the worst Wonder Weapon of all time in terms of damage output. This thing stops being useful at a pathetic Round 20, when regular bullet weapons can potentially get twice that, let alone other actual Wonder Weapons from other maps.

Somehow, Treyarch made the decision to cut the Pentagon Thief from the map, but did nothing to enhance Five's horrendous Wonder Weapon, apart from give players a pointless quest to go on to get a free one. It's a shame that they didn't opt to instead keep the Pentagon Thief and scrap the Winter's Howl.

Answer: Teleporter Signal Amplifier

There are three pieces needed to craft this, which are found in the Main Office, Morgue and Panic Room. Once crafted, a player simply needs to interact with the central teleporter in the War Room, and players will be ready to go to Pack-a-Punch. Simply activating Defcon-5 and using any teleporter will now work.
7. The setting for Pack-a-Punch sure is a lot different than Five, taking place on Groom Lake. Groom Lake itself may look quite familiar to longtime Zombies players. Which older map previously harbored Groom Lake?

Answer: Moon

Groom Lake was, fittingly, where players Pack-a-Punched their weaponry on Moon. Just like Moon, Zombies on Groom Lake are faster, attack quicker and spawn in faster, making it harder and more tense to survive for a long time here.
8. Within Groom Lake lies a secret challenge. Players who remain in Groom Lake for three full, consecutive rounds, receive what for an award?

Answer: Bonfire Sale

A Bonfire Sale is an upgraded version of the Fire Sale. Fire Sales make it to where the Mystery Box only costs 10 points to use very briefly. Bonfire Sales do this, then extend a benefit towards Pack-a-Punch, where PaP's price is reduced by a whopping 90% for the duration.

As players would be on Groom Lake receiving this, and as Pack-a-Punch would be right next to them, that makes this a very straightforward reward to use.
9. While on Groom Lake (and at random points afterward), one player will hear the deranged, high pitched cries of Samantha as she tries to communicate with them. Which character would the player have to be in order to hear Samantha?

Answer: Richtofen

Richtofen, having forged quite the nasty connection to Samantha over the years, is the one dealing with her here. Samantha will tend to curse him out, openly wanting him to die in the most agonizing way possible while cursing him out for killing her "puppets", who are the zombies.
10. The Ballistic Shield on this map is quite interesting, coming with a fully automatic machine pistol attached to it with 80 rounds. How much damage does this machine pistol deal?

Answer: This scales with the round players are on

Whether Round 1 or Round 149, this machine pistol bizarrely will scale with the round players are at, and will thus deal relatively average damage whenever it is used. This becomes of extreme importance when engaging with the Easter Egg Main Quest, as all other weapons become basically useless at around Round 40, let alone the 150 that the quest demands. For the majority of this quest, players will have no choice but to resort to the Ballistic Shield to kill zombies.

As a point of reference, I actually did this quest in tandem with a friend of mine. Our strategies were forcibly based around the shield, as nothing else was even close to posing as a reliable source of damage output. In total, we killed a combined 110,000 zombies, and I would imagine probably 100-105K of that came from the shield.

Who needs the Winter's Howl, when really it was the Ballistic Shield all along who was the real Wonder Weapon?
