Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Chaos Crew traveled far and long to get here. What is their main objective?

Answer: Rescue Alistair Rhodes

In the beginning of the storyline, The Order abducted Alistair Rhodes. In trying to track him down, since the very beginning, Stanton Shaw has suggested Delphi, Greece as the location of his whereabouts. That lays out the reasoning for the group being here.
2. This map features the return and repurpose of the Skeleton enemy, retexturized as Spartoi to fit the theme of this map. Spartoi are unique, in that they can resurrect themselves any time the player kills them. How does the player disable this resurrection?

Answer: Kill them with a headshot

If the player does not kill with a headshot, Spartoi can continuously resurrect infinitely until they do. The game hints at this by giving the Spartoi a shield covering most of their body below the neck and above the knees, making it difficult to shoot them at all without hitting their head.

If ever unsure of whether or not they hit the head, the player should eye their point total. If they headshot a Spartoi and killed it, they'll earn points. If they "killed" the Spartoi without a headshot, they will not earn any points at all.
3. This map's Wonder Weapons are known as the God Hands. They are gauntlets which have been blessed by various notable Greek names. Which of the following is a Greek name attached to one of the four God Hands?

Answer: Gaia

The hands of Gaia, Charon, Ouranos and Hemera make up the four Wonder Weapons on this map. Each has its own unique effect but, in general, each can be wielded to absolutely devastating extents. My personal favorite is the Hand of Gaia, capable of essentially calling down a death laser from space to smite enemies standing in front of the user.

But realistically, it is difficult to rank the four, as each is incredible in its own way.
4. Upgrading the God Hands from 'Fallen' to 'Redeemed' is mandatory to finishing this map's Easter Egg Main Quest. But, they can optionally be upgraded again to become "'Exalted'. In a nutshell, what do players need to do for the Exalted upgrade?

Answer: Kill a swarm of a specific enemy with unlimited ammunition

When the player has the "Fallen" version of their God Hand, they can embark on a very brief collect-a-thon quest, which will then end off with the player needing to "prove themselves" to whatever God they have the hand of. This will involve teleporting to a secluded, isolated room, receiving the Redeemed version of the God Hand on temporarily unlimited ammunition, and using it to fight off zombies.

Later, with the Redeemed version in hand, players must essentially do something similar all over again. This time, when they are tasked with "proving themselves", they may use whatever weapon they want, but will not have unlimited ammunition, and must this time survive against a wave of a particular enemy.

Those seeking to upgrade the Hand of Charon must repel a swarm of Blightfathers. Those looking to enhance the Hand of Gaia will need to survive a swarm of Catalyst zombies. Hemera is up there with Charon as being genuinely challenging, as players looking to upgrade Hemera will need to hold out against a group of Gegenees. Finally, Ouranos gets the easy way out here, as players will merely need to survive regular zombies - a high quantity of them, but regular zombies - to be able to upgrade.

Whenever the challenge has been passed and the Exalted version is available, players need merely Pack-a-Punch it to gain their reward.
5. Debuting on this map is a new mini-boss enemy known as the Gegenees. These colossal giant zombies wield several weapons. How many different ways can they attack a player?

Answer: Three

Gegenees have six arms. Two of them hold spears that it will throw at players who make too much distance. Two of them hold swords which it will use if the player gets close. This leaves the last two to hold a shield, which is capable of charging and firing a blinding light at the player.

The Gegenees will tend to reserve its shield attack for when it gets low on health.
6. The Gegenees doesn't get to have all of the fun, as it is not the only mini-boss this map has to offer. Returning and looking for revenge, what mini-boss appears alongside it?

Answer: Blightfather

Blightfathers did not appear to harass the alternate crew on Dead of the Night, but they otherwise appear on every Chaos map in which the standard Chaos Crew is present. Here, they won't appear until much later than usual, giving way early to the Gegenees. In particular, the Blightfather becomes quite the pain if the player wants to obtain the Exalted Hand of Charon.
7. Accessing Pack-a-Punch on this map is a unique journey. It requires players to summon and interact with an important figure in Greek mythology. Who aids the player in finding Pack-a-Punch?

Answer: Pegasus

Players must craft the Golden Bridle, at which point they will be able to ride Pegasus into the underground depths of Delphi, known in-game as the Center of the World. After undergoing a small quest here, players can finally upgrade their weapons.
8. To start this map's Easter Egg Main Quest, players must complete anywhere from three to six Oracle Tributes depending on how many players are in the game. In a nutshell, what is an Oracle Tribute?

Answer: A random in-game challenge

On spawning in, players can immediately interact with the Oracle. Here, once per round, they can begin an Oracle Tribute. These are time sensitive challenges to accomplish something specific. It can range from remaining in a specific part of the map, killing zombies in a specific part of the map, killing them in certain ways and, perhaps the most infamous, avoiding any damage from all sources.

In order to ignite the Flame of Apollo and begin the quest, each player must earn nine points from Oracle Tributes. To earn an Epic reward is six points, so each player must do a minimum of two Oracle Tributes per person. If there are two players, they need eighteen points or three Epic rewards between the two. If the party is full, the team would need 36 points, so six Epics would do the trick.
9. Once players are done with the Oracle, the Flame of Apollo will be lit. Players must use it to set a few oil spills across the map ablaze. To do that, they need something which can carry the Flame of Apollo to these locations. What is needed to carry the Flame of Apollo?

Answer: Shield

The Apollo's Will shield will do the trick, courtesy of the spear it comes with. By using the spear's melee attack on the Flame of Apollo, players can ignite the tip of the spear with this flame and use it to set three separate oil trails on fire.
10. After players have properly lit a few oil trails on fire, the next step involves interacting with the giant Spartan Monument. For this, a very particular God Hand is needed. Which one?

Answer: Charon

The Charon Hand must have been upgraded to the Redeemed Hand of Charon. With it, the player must go to the Spartan Monument and use the Redeemed hand of Charon to light up three statue heads near the monument, which are randomized.
11. Players will need to navigate to the Intersection of Treasuries. They will find an ankh, but it will be slightly out of reach and players will need the help of an enemy to obtain it. What enemy is intended to essentially 'shoot' the ankh down?

Answer: Gegenees

This step can definitely be frustrating, as the Gegenees does not have a particularly reliable way to get him to immediately use the shield blast attack when it's convenient. Generally, getting him low on health gets him to use the attack, but getting him to do it in the direction of the ankh is definitely the hardest part about this step.

Fortunately, once the ankh is revealed, a Gegenees will actually spawn a minimum of once per round until this step is finished, when they ordinarily appear randomly every 3-6 rounds. So players at least have that going for then.
12. After getting help with an ankh, players must then go to the Danu perk. Here, they will need a specific Redeemed God Hand to proceed. Which God Hand?

Answer: Gaia

With the Redeemed Hand of Gaia, the wielder must use single shots against tree branches near the Danu perk which have symbols on them. After this, a Gegenees will spawn which the Gaia wielder must kill. If done correctly, this Gegenees will drop an important but seemingly mundane pole. Players must take this pole and place it in the sundial at the Offering of the Attalids.

Here, a player must then kill an Electric Catalyst near the pole and interact with more symbols to proceed.
13. Players will engage in a sharpshooter minigame as part of the Easter Egg Main Quest. This involves the game randomly choosing a Hand of God wielder to kill zombies, quickly, in particular ways. This step can be failed and progress reset. How many chances do players have to pass this step?

Answer: Five

Players will randomly be tasked to use a particular God Hand, and they will also need to adhere to using either single shots or charged shots exclusively. They will need to kill zombies glowing a color in common with their particular God Hand, and they must do so quickly. If a player fails, the game proceeds to hand out a new challenge. If a player fails five times cumulatively before the entire step is finished, the game will flash a white screen at all players and reset everything, forcing players to try again on the next round.
14. After playing sharpshooter, players will need to obtain even more random symbols and input them into a door right next to the Spitfire wallbuy. Afterward, now it is important to get a specific character to interact with this door if playing co-op. If playing co-op, what character must be present for this?

Answer: Shaw

This specific step is squarely responsible for the game ensuring someone is playing as Shaw if in a co-op session. If the team is 2-3 players long, it is guaranteed that one of them will be Shaw no matter what. If playing solo, this restriction is lifted as the ensuing cinematic will simply very briefly replace the player with Shaw, if applicable, before returning them to their original character.

Once Shaw is present and interacting with the door, a very brief cinematic will play. Players may proceed from here.
15. After opening a door with a particular character, players must now load a Ballista with ammunition sufficient to destroy a huge python. This will require another particular flavor of a Redeemed God Hand. Which one?

Answer: Ouranos

Thankfully, the process for this is very simple. By simply aiming and firing a shot at the Ballista, it will be loaded and nearly primed for fire.
16. The final step before the boss fight involves injecting the newly armed Ballista with a bit of something extra. To obtain the "extra", players must activate and run through a trap with their shield. Which trap is needed?

Answer: Venom Trap

This will require the Venom Trap to be built in the Python's Pass. If players actually have made it this far, constructing the Venom Trap will be elementary compared to the absurd journey needed just to make it here.

After construction, one player must take out the Apollo's Will shield and run through the trap once it has been activated. Then, meleeing the Ballista with the spear will infuse the shots with venom and leave it ready for deployment.
17. It's boss time! This map fitfully boasts two bosses, a good and proper way to send off the Chaos storyline. Who is the first boss?

Answer: Dark Pegasus

The Pegasus used to access Pack-a-Punch will be taken over, similarly to Godfrey from Dead of the Night, and corrupted by The Order. It will fly around the small space players are able to maneuver. In order to damage it, players must use bullet weapons to shoot it down out of the sky. Once it lands, it can only take damage from Specialist Weapons, so players must have them ready to go and lay into Dark Pegasus while it's down.

This will likely take a few tries, as Dark Pegasus does not stay down forever. That said, the premise of this fight is pretty simple - it merely encourages players to have levelled up their Specialist Weapon to make it as straightforward as possible.
18. Who is this map's second and final boss?

Answer: Perseus

Once Dark Pegasus has been slain, Perseus will absorb its power and appear to attack the team. Somewhat disappointingly, the manner in which Perseus must be fought is nearly identical to Dark Pegasus; he will throw a bolt of lightning at a random player, then appear at the location he threw it at. From here, players must shoot him with bullet weapons until he staggers, where they must then use a Specialist Weapon to damage him.

The only significant difference between Perseus and Dark Pegasus is that Perseus is easier to hit since he's up close, but he also actually fights back unlike Dark Pegasus, whose only form of offense came from the nearby population of zombies.

Either way, if players actually managed to complete the frankly ridiculous quest needed to get here, almost never will Dark Pegasus or Perseus actually defeat them. Between possessing Redeemed, possibly Exalted God Hands, having a souped up Specialist, probably having at least one fully Pack-a-Punched gun and likely having powerful Elixirs, the player simply has too much to work with for these bosses to pose much of a threat.
19. For the Chaos story's final fight, it sure takes place in a fitting setting. Where do both boss fights occur?

Answer: Mount Olympus

In Greek mythology, Mount Olympus was regarded as the abode of the gods and the site of the throne of Zeus. In this game, players will find themselves standing on platforms hovering over this enormous landmark. They will use jump pads to go from platform to platform
20. After finishing off the final boss, the Chaos Crew rushes into the temple and interacts with Oracle. Shaw and Bruno proceed deeper into the temple while Scarlett and Diego stay behind. Diego learns something to his horror as he watches Scarlett and Oracle get up close and personal with each other. What does Diego find out here?

Answer: The crew was tricked and betrayed

Since entering Delphi, Oracle has told the crew she can help save Alistair Rhodes if the crew aids her. To make an extremely long story short, killing Perseus and essentially driving out The Order did constitute 'aiding' Oracle. During this cutscene, Bruno and Shaw rush into the Temple to search for Alistair Rhodes, who the crew has been trying to find this entire time. Scarlett stays behind to tend to Oracle, who she believes is dying.

It actually turns out Oracle is Medusa, and Medusa manages to look into Scarlett's eyes, effectively disabling her. Meanwhile, Bruno and Shaw manage to get corrupted by The Order just as they find what appears to be a stone form of Alistair, who was almost certainly petrified by Medusa. It is this which is supposed to convey to the player that Oracle knew exactly where Alistair was the entire time, and was the one who brought about his demise. The members of The Order who originally abducted Alistair are also found petrified here.

Diego manages to recover Scarlett from Medusa without Medusa managing to petrify him. Devastatingly, this is where the story ends on a cliffhanger, as Diego grabs Scarlett's vegetated body and is seen holding her close, trying to hide from a nearby Medusa who is looking for him.

Simply put, this storyline will forever be left on this cliffhanger, as Treyarch announced not terribly long afterward that it was discontinued. The Sentinel Artifact would go on to see use during "Black Ops 6", but the Chaos Crew's story was dead and buried after this cinematic.
