Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Only one weapon in all of "Demon's Souls" is capable of afflicting Plague, and it happens to be a dagger. What dagger can do this?

Answer: Baby's Nail

The Baby's Nail unfortunately does terrible damage, and its Plague build up is nothing too great. Surprisingly, it is not found at the Swamp of Sorrow. It is dropped by Sage Freke should the player decide to murder him, or they can find one just beyond Fool's Idol's boss room.
2. The Parrying Dagger strangely can only be acquired through interacting with one of two NPCs. Who is one of them?

Answer: Mephistopheles

At the end of Mephistopheles' questline, she will attack the player and force them to kill her. The player could also just kill her whenever they want. In either scenario, she will drop the Parrying Dagger upon defeat.

If the player frees Lord Rydell from the Prison of Hope, there will also be a Parrying Dagger sitting inside his cell.
3. In "Dark Souls 1", the player can acquire Priscilla's Dagger. Unsurprisingly, this can be done from fighting Crossbreed Priscilla. What must they do here to get the dagger?

Answer: Cut her tail off

Though not a conventional dragon, the "Crossbreed" in her name accurately depicts her as being part-dragon. This means she has a tail, and cutting it will give the player the Priscilla's Dagger.
4. Trekking through the New Londo Ruins of "Dark Souls 1" can be annoying, as many of the enemies there can only be damaged in very specific ways. Which dagger of the following can effectively damage them?

Answer: Ghost Blade

The Ghost Blade, as the name suggests, is capable of properly damaging the many Ghosts who will attack the player. Unfortunately, it has poor range, does very little damage and has unremarkable scaling. It was clearly designed solely to hurt Ghosts with.
5. Upon defeating "Dark Souls 2's" Giant Lord, the player can receive a free dagger as a reward from Chancellor Wellager. What dagger does he give them?

Answer: Royal Dirk

The Royal Dirk has a unique parrying animation, and certainly has a standout design. As far as practical performance goes, however, this thing is mostly just a copy/paste of a regular dagger. It does attain decent B scaling in Dexterity, however.
6. New Game Plus makes a lot of things significantly different in "Dark Souls 2". One such difference is particularly relevant to the Shadow Dagger. What New Game Plus boss gives the opportunity to acquire the Shadow Dagger?

Answer: Flexile Sentry

On NG+ and beyond, the Flexile Sentry is now joined by three Suspicious Shadow enemies. These enemies are only found during this fight on NG+, and they have a small chance to drop the Shadow Dagger on defeat. This is the only way to acquire the Shadow Dagger.

As always, the fight can be essentially shifted to New Game Plus using Bonfire Ascetics. This would be the only way to get the Shadow Dagger without having it gifted from a friend, or actually going to New Game Plus.
7. The Harpe of "Dark Souls 3" can be surprisingly annoying to get; it wouldn't seem it at first, but only enemies with a specific, subtle eye color can drop this weapon. What must the eye color be?

Answer: Red

If red-eyed, any enemy in all of the High Wall of Lothric has a very small chance to drop this weapon.

Unfortunately, for as enemy dense as the area is, this status only applies to five enemies who are well spread out from one another and will require significant legwork to go in between. It applies to a hollow found off to the east right as the player reaches the first bonfire. It applies to a Lothric Knight inside a building just off to the side of the area's two boss fights. It applies to a Winged Knight patrolling a fountain in the center of town. It applies to a dog near the Estus Shard at the bottom of a building next to the second bonfire. Finally and most annoyingly, it applies to the Darkwraith the player will be tasked with killing, and this enemy does not respawn.
8. The Brigand Twindaggers of "Dark Souls 3" uniquely crams two weapons into one slot. Where can it, or they, be found?

Answer: Road of Sacrifice

Fortunately, it is simply looted off of a corpse directly in the line of progression, making it easy to spot and pick up. Likely due to it being two weapons in one, this weapon has the second highest Strength requirement for its class at 10, as well as requiring 15 Dexterity to wield.
9. The Wakizashi of "Elden Ring" is entirely exclusive for how it can interact with Katanas. When dual wielded with any Katana in the game, what happens with the Wakizashi?

Answer: It can be powerstanced

This is the only weapon in the entire game that can be powerstanced alongside a weapon outside of its weapon class. The moveset is the exact same as if the Wakizashi was a Katana, so it swings more slowly than usual, while having less range than a Katana.

Overall, powerstancing the Wakizashi with a Katana is probably a poor idea, but it's at least fun for the novelty.
10. Margit the Fell Omen of "Elden Ring" uses a lot of weapons, and it turns out all of them are obtainable for the player. One of his weapons of choice is a dagger- what dagger?

Answer: Erdsteel Dagger

The Erdsteel Dagger is sadly unremarkable in the hands of the player. There is nothing special about this dagger that makes it different from an ordinary Dagger, apart from its status as one of Margit's weapons of choice.

It can be acquired by driving out the enemies in Fort Haight, then speaking to Kenneth Haight. If the player attacks and aggros Haight, he will use the Erdsteel Dagger to attack them with.
