Question 14 of 20
14. The infamous 'bomb step' is one of six trials players must complete after inputting the password to access it. On activation, four bombs will suddenly become live-armed across the map which players need to defuse. If they are successfully defused, the computer will tell them. It will become quite clear how to tell if you've failed this step, but what dialogue line is said to confirm successful completion? Hint

Question 15 of 20
15. After finishing the six sweat-inducing trials, the next step is quite bizarre. A yellow orb will begin to fly around the map, prompting players to attack and eventually ensnare it into a trap. This orb is actually just a wandering soul belonging to an old face who hasn't appeared in some time. Whose soul is this? Hint

Question 16 of 20

19. This map actually has a second boss, fought immediately after the first is slain. Who is the second boss? Hint

Question 20 of 20
20. Upon finally slaying the boss and winning the entire quest, there is one important piece of gameplay left still. Once the well-deserved end cutscene finishes, players will be returned to spawn. As per usual, they will be allowed to continue on with a casual playthrough if they wish. Even if about to close down, they should remain in the game even for just a moment as a brand new character actually does appear to speak with them. Who are players formally introduced to here? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The opening cutscene to this map is wild; our four protagonists freefall out of the sky, miraculously secure a parachute midair, land on the ground in front of a dragon and a souped-up mechanical insurrectionist, before narrowly evading it all. Once safe again, what is their main objective for this map?

Answer: Find and kill Nikolai Belinski

Nikolai is the last of the four whose Ultimis version still lives, and the Primis group aims to fix that here in Stalingrad. Unlike the other three however, Nikolai is actually encountered as the 'insurrectionist' mentioned in the question, and very early.

He resides inside a huge mechanical Manticore which is heavily armed, while he himself is very very drunk and spotted on camera continuing to drink. As such, wresting Ultimis Nikolai's soul from him figures to be a difficult task.
2. The Dragon is a consistent menace throughout this map. When it appears, what does it do?

Answer: Block an entire area off

When the Dragon appears, it will glare at any players in the area before proceeding to coat the entirety of that area in fire. Without the shield, players will quickly take a death standing in this fire. Players will be forced to leave the area briefly as the flames linger all around.
3. The Dragon Strike is a unique piece of equipment that fills out the player's Equipment slot when acquired. To get it, players must venture to the Hatchery and begin a Lockdown event. What happens during this Lockdown?

Answer: A huge swarm of enemies attacks

This Lockdown will feature four different waves of zombies and other enemies. Each wave will hit a different part of the building players are in.
4. The Gauntlet of Siegfried is this map's Specialist Weapon, and acquiring it is quite the doozy. Which of the following is one thing players must eventually do to get it?

Answer: Have The Dragon set an egg on fire

One of the several steps that must be taken to gain this weapon involves grabbing a huge dragon egg from the Hatchery, bringing it to a nest, setting it in the nest, then waiting for the Dragon to set it ablaze.

The Dragon will be more inclined to appear in areas where a player lingers. As such, the player will likely need to remain next to their egg for no more than a couple of minutes at most.

Afterward, players must wait two rounds for the egg to cooldown, embark upon a series of seemingly random trials, go through one more Lockdown, and they will then receive their Gauntlet of Siegfried.
5. The Mangler is this map's mini-boss enemy. They are big, tanky and can uniquely even shoot back at the player with their energy launcher for a hand. Killing them can be tough, but they actually do have a weak spot. What part of the Mangler, when damaged, causes it to take extra damage?

Answer: Arm

Specifically, the cannon for an arm is the Mangler's weak spot. Shooting it deals a ridiculous three times the normal amount of damage, letting players with strong weapons easily put a Mangler down if they have a steady hand to hit the cannon with. The cannon is quite big, so this is not a terribly difficult thing to do.
6. This map is home to the Wonder Weapon GKZ-45 MK3 or, Ray Gun Mark III as affectionately labeled by the community. This weapon is capable of causing rifts in reality, channeling black holes that pull zombies in. Other weapons that cause singularities, like the Apothicon Servant, deal infinite damage in this way. Does the GKZ-45 MK3 deal infinite damage?

Answer: No

Despite looking and sounding just as intimidating as other black hole-causing devices, this black hole unfortunately was late clocking in to work on this map. The black hole will consistently stop killing full health zombies at Round 30, and the overall effectiveness of this weapon steeply declines at that point. It gets even worse at Round 50, as now two black holes will fail to kill a full health zombie.

The weapon looks really cool, and is practically a walking cheat code to reach Round 30 without any brainpower needed. It drops off significantly at this point.
7. Uniquely, this map rewards players for progressing through rounds especially quickly. What reward will players gain if they can make it to Rounds 5, 10, 15 and then 20 within a certain time frame?

Answer: Melee weapons

If the player makes it to Round 5 before five real world minutes have passed, they will receive a wallbuy letting them acquire the Wrench. The dagger named Malice is the reward for getting to Round 10 within thirteen minutes. The fire axe fitfully named 'Slash n' Burn' is given for getting to Round 15 within 24 minutes. Finally, the long sword called Fury's Song is acquired for getting to Round 20 before 32 minutes have elapsed.

None of these melee weapons are especially amazing or do anything other than look cool. Still, it's a nice change of pace, and they are at least much stronger than the default knife players start with.
8. This map takes place in Russia, so Treyarch took the liberty of tossing in a couple map exclusive weapons to reflect this. Which of the following can be wielded on this map?

Answer: PPSH-41

The iconic PPSH-41, which hadn't been seen in any "Call of Duty" game in seven years at the time this map launched, is available out of the Mystery Box. When Pack a Punched, it becomes The Reaper just as it was in its most recent appearance in "World at War".

Sadly, after its appearance here, the magic was ruined as it was simply brought to nearly every single video game entry in this franchise afterward.
9. Normally, simply walking to Pack a Punch when it's unlocked isn't much to write home about. Here, however, players will be treated to an epic cutscene each and every time they want to upgrade their guns. Through what method does the player reach the area with Pack a Punch in it?

Answer: Hitching a ride from a dragon

In order to go to the Hatchery which houses Pack a Punch, players must first activate one of three separate consoles to call the dragon over, as if hitting a button at an elevator in real life. After it arrives, players can interact with the dragon to ride it.

The ensuing cinematic is, subjectively in my opinion, incredibly cool and never loses its lustre even after the 1000th time of needing to Pack a Punch. The dragon will, with the player in tow, fly over the city of Stalingrad, weaving in and out of incoming gunfire to the tune of a gnarly soundtrack before finally arriving at the Hatchery and flinging players off of its back, to land inside of it.
10. Upon turning on the power, players may be surprised to find themselves suddenly interacting with a sentient robot. This feminine-appearing apparatus will communicate with the player and help them to complete the Easter Egg Main Quest. What is "her" name?

Answer: Sophia

Sophia is actually an acronym which stands for Strategic Operations Planning Heuristic Intelligence Analyzer.
11. First order of business in terms of the Easter Egg Main Quest involves retrieving 'trophies' that can be brought to the central power station. How many trophies must be collected?

Answer: Six

Despite the simple fetch quest nature of this, it actually will eventually require the Gauntlet of Siegfried and the Dragon Strike to gather a couple trophies. Because of this, players must ensure to have crafted these tools before starting the Easter Egg Main Quest.
12. Once trophies are collected, second step involves going to the Hatchery, turning on a generator, then using the power generated to activate three valves across the map. This is time sensitive; after activating the generator, how long does the player have to turn on each of the three valves?

Answer: Five minutes

If done co-op, this step is absolutely brainless for the simple reason that one player can go and find the valves, while the other can remain by the generator to re-activate it if the finder is taking too long. The generator, when re-activated, will have its five minute duration refreshed at no cost. It can only be re-activated once per round, but ten minutes is an egregious amount of time needed to simply find three valves, so this should never be an issue.

If done solo, it may be slightly trickier as players would have to abide by the strict five minute timer.
13. To take more direct control of their mechanical companion, players must learn and input a password into her. What is the password?

Answer: Kronos

There will be a cylinder structure with six letters lined up on it. Shooting a letter once will change the letter, going in alphabetical order. As such, players must shoot this structure until it reads 'Kronos'.

While doing this isn't hard, it would likely be easiest with a semi-automatic weapon or slower, such as the Sheiva. Using a full auto like the PPSH-41 runs the risk of skipping the intended letter, and forcing more bullets to be used to land back on this letter.

Answer: "Auto-Destruction Protocol Disabled"

This step is easily the most stress inducing part of the whole entire Easter Egg Main Quest, and maybe even the most stressful in the whole entire game, as even one single mis-input can wipe out the whole entire team. Failing to reach each of the four bombs in time will do this, but also, attempting to disarm a bomb at the wrong spot, where there isn't a bomb to be disarmed, will trigger this as well. The correct locations to go to, and in order, are extremely quickly flashed on Sophia's screen before the bombs are armed. Players must have a good memory and, ideally, some method of recording notes or even taking a picture to make it past this step.

If successful, Sophia will inform them. If unsuccessful, nobody will need to be informed directly, as at least one person, if not the entire team, will be instantly downed.

Answer: Gersh

Gersh, all the way from Ascension in "Black Ops 1", has his soul simply floating about the map seemingly aimlessly. Despite the aim being to shoot and trap him, he will be heard actually begging for players to do this to him, conveying a sense of agony and helplessness. It seems then, that he is not actually in control of his soul as it wanders about.
16. After dealing with the seemingly random soul, the third step on the Easter Egg Main Quest is an interesting twist. Players must escort someone to the Dragon Command room. Again though, this 'someone' is almost definitely not who you'd expect. Who are players guarding here?

Answer: A Mangler

A friendly Mangler, indicated with green eyes replacing the usual red, will emerge and follow one particular player at random. If in a team, the others will not be followed by this Mangler, letting them rush on ahead to clear the area ahead of time as the Mangler slowly follows the one player it randomly chooses.

The goal is, simply, to bring this Mangler safely to the Dragon Command room, a panel where the Mangler can teleport to... Somewhere. Where it's going or why this escort even takes place is unknown.
17. Once all six trials have been completed, players need to turn their sights onto their Ultimis target and get his attention. From the spawn room, what piece of equipment must be used?

Answer: Gauntlet of Siegfried

Only one player actually has to do this. Whoever it is, they must use their Gauntlet of Siegfried and direct their whelp in the direction of Ultimis Nikolai, who can be spotted just outside of spawn, within a (currently) unplayable area. Once this is done, Nikolai will become irate and begin to walk around the area; players can now go to the boss room.
18. It's boss fight time! Who's the boss?

Answer: The Dragon

The Dragon which has been appearing to harass the player is the main enemy here. This time, it is vulnerable to damage. Players must shoot spots in its body which light up orange. Of course, it will make sure to coat as much of the boss area in flames as it can, while being joined by a healthy helping of zombies, so the main challenge here is juggling all of these affairs while doing damage back.
19. This map actually has a second boss, fought immediately after the first is slain. Who is the second boss?

Answer: Nikolai Belinski

Nikolai actually aids the player during the fight against The Dragon, and he will even help shoot and kill zombies which show up to aid the winged beast. Afterward, however, our protagonists will explain to Nikolai why they've come looking for him, imploring him to surrender. He will angrily proclaim that Russians never surrender, take yet another swig of vodka, then attack with his Manticore mech.

This fight is, by very very far, harder to win than The Dragon. Unlike The Dragon, Nikolai can move about the boss room as he pleases to exert pressure on players trying to take cover. His nastiest attack involves him summoning a series of R.A.P.S to roam around the room and kamikaze right into players.

The Danger Closest Gobblegum is an excellent choice for this fight, as this will render players immune to the R.A.P.S. However, this fight can quickly turn into a complete joke if players are willing to cheese it. The Idle Eyes Gobblegum shockingly works on Nikolai, and even just one player using it will cause him and all nearby zombies to stand completely still for thirty whole seconds, by far long enough to kill Nikolai and win the fight.

Without Idle Eyes, this fight is tough. Without that or Danger Closest, it can actually be extremely difficult to prevail.

Answer: Doctor Monty

Doctor Monty does not physically manifest, instead being heard as a voice in players' heads. His voice had actually been heard briefly if players make it to Rounds 14 and 15, but he does not introduce himself until after the boss has been slain. Notably, whoever is playing as Richtofen will not hear Doctor Monty, as he tells the other three that he has intentionally left Richtofen out.
