The player must be in Pure White World tendency to spawn Satsuki. If in Pure Black, Satsuki will appear as a black phantom, forcing the player to kill him and fail his questline. Either way, the player does not actually have to interact with Satsuki to get the Magic Sword "Makoto".

They simply need to allow Patches to kick them into a small ruined area with a black phantom. Killing the phantom will cause it to drop the Magic Sword "Makoto".

Fortunately, Blacksmith Andre isn't far from the Undead Male Merchant, and he sells most of the same things the latter sells. This makes the Undead Male Merchant expendable, so a player looking to make a Dexterity build and wanting to get off to a good start would be forgiven for this atrocity.

If the player would prefer to not be so bloodthirsty, the Uchigatana can be purchased from Shiva of the East.

Answer: Lost Sinner

Lost Sinner must either be fought on New Game Plus or after usage of a Bonfire Ascetic to respawn her.

The Lost Sinner has direct connections to the Witch of Izalith of "Dark Souls 1". A recurring theme in this game is that the four Old Great Ones have distinct, direct connection to the four Bequeathed Lords of "Dark Souls 1".

Answer: 30 seconds

The Lingering Dragoncrest Ring +1 can extend this time up to 37.5 seconds, while the +0 variant can bring it up to slightly more than 33 seconds.

When buffed, the strength of this buff exceeds that of the Crystal Magic Weapon spell. This lets it do ridiculous amounts of damage if the blade is infused with an element that lines up well with the user's stats, such as Magic for an Intelligence build or Dark for a Hex build.

However, seppuku does a sizable amount of self damage, as well as chewing through the weapon's puny 30 durability by quite a lot. Because of this, a healthy supply of lifegems to offset the self-damage and repair powder to tend to the durability is recommended.

Answer: Darkdrift

Despite seeming to mainly scale off of Dexterity like any katana, this weapon actually performs best on a Quality build, as its Strength scaling is closer to Dexterity than the initial E scaling at +0 would make it seem.

On a standard Quality build, which goes to 40 Strength and 40 Dexterity, this weapon has a higher Attack Rating stat than if the user only gets the minimum Strength needed to wield it, then just dumps a ton of points into Dexterity.

Answer: Fushigiri

The Kusabimaru is Wolf's main weapon which he uses most of the time. However, as bosses can be much more easily slain with a Shinobi Execution, the Fushigiri comes into the spotlight here. This will be how the player wins almost every single one of their boss fights.

Answer: Rivers of Blood

Rivers of Blood was easily the most overpowered weapon in the entire game at launch, as it was capable of destroying bosses and PvP opponents with peerless efficiency and a distinct lack of brainpower. It would go on to be nerfed multiple times to the point of being good, but reasonable.

It's impact will never be forgotten, however, and it still draws the ire of much of the community despite the nerfs it has received.

Answer: Nagakiba

The Nagakiba is ever so slightly longer than the Hand of Malenia. It's also one of the most flexible weapons in the game, as it can make good use of virtually any Ash of War in the entire game. It responds quite well to infusions as well, making it very malleable to a particular build.

These advantages make the Nagakiba a good contender for best Katana in the entire game, as it is definitely the most consistent and offers the most creativity in how it can be used.
