"Predecessor" - Lore (1) Trivia Quiz

Riktor is the warden at the Orbital Cage, so as a guard, Lt. Belica is one of his subordinates. The lore never actually directly mentions any interactions they have in this duty, so their workplace relationship remains to be seen.

Answer: Murdock

Murdock is on the lookout for an unidentified criminal, one who is apparently behind a very sinister criminal plot at the Orbital Cage. This entity is involved as a share holder of Shinbi's KPop Career. She is unable to simply directly tell Murdock of the entity's identity due to her being under a microscope at all times, so she instead tries to send messages to Murdock through her new music hits.

This is one of those "blink twice if you're being held hostage" scenarios.

Answer: Drongo

Gadget is a well renowned scrapper, talented in everything there is to a garage and a junkyard. Drongo, an equally skilled scavenger, convinces Gadget to venture into the Velrune desert, in search of something with terrible power. The lore never mentions if they actually go on this adventure, much less what happens, but it does heavily imply that Gadget was very interested in doing so.

Answer: Skylar

While the three incorrect options would certainly be capable of doing so, and have done similar or identical feats, Skylar is the one who reassembled Crunch. Afterward, the pair engaged in petty thievery and scrappery until a heist went wrong, the pair were split up by Murdock's police force and never re-united.

Answer: Dekker

Dekker is a brilliant scientist, a successful archeologist and apparently a talented mechanic as well. The lore does not clarify what Dekker's motivation to doing this was.

Answer: Rampage

Rampage is a product of direct rage, reflected in his dialogue lines and his big, burly, beefy tone of voice. Deep down, he has the mindset of a very angry bunny rabbit, and his Pounce Ability which allows him to jump very high is indicative of this.

Answer: Grux

Khaimera has several skins, purchaseable for in-game and real-world currency, which are pelts of Grux's various family members slewn over Khaimera's shoulder. The lore clarifies that Khaimera killing Grux's grandmother specifically is what enraged Grux and empowered him to be able to stand up to Khaimera.

In-game, Grux very funnily has a very large advantage in the 1 on 1 against Khaimera. Khaimera must have a very large advantage of some kind, an extra item, level or the player using Khaimera must be vastly more skilled (in which case, they would probably know better than to bother picking this fight anyway), or Grux wins this matchup every single time.

A funny instance where the lore definitely does not reflect in the gameplay.

Answer: Yurei

Renna and Yurei grew up training to oppose demonhood, but growing jealous of her sister constantly being the sole recipient of praise and respect despite her own well-doings, Renna enlisted Akeron as a patron deity. Doing this makes her directly opposed to her demon hating sister Yurei, making for a very awkward lore scenario if the two are on the same team in a match.

Answer: Countess

When choosing Countess in the Selection screen, Countess will laugh loudly in one of three different tones of voice, as she draws her weapons and enters her idle animation. This ties directly into Terra's quote about her.

Answer: Akeron

The pact is simple: Revenant delivers souls to Akeron, Akeron resurrects his wife. There are some red flags here, however...

Akeron does not possess any ability to revive or even heal anyone other than himself in the game. As well, his lore never even hints that he is capable of doing so. Finally, Revenant's lore never stipulates how many souls he had to deliver to Akeron. It also doesn't reveal if Revenant was successful, though it does perhaps suggest that this could be his motivation for participating in matches to begin with.
