Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

It is worth noting that, while Supports do have an entire category of very useful items dedicated to them, this is arguably the single most malleable role in the game in terms of how many viable, optimal ways one could approach a build. So even if it isn't a Support category item, that does not at all make the item useless to a Support.

Crescelia is an excellent item for Supports who want Mana Regen and Ability Haste.

Crystal Tear is for healing Supports only, but it is quite fantastic for characters such as Narbash or Zinx who are largely centered around healing allies.

Dawnstar, in stark contrast, is best reserved for melee supports who can take a few hits. It enhances their Basic Attack, making it now apply a stackable damage output reduction to the target and giving the buyer nifty tank stats. Adele, Steel, Mourn and Riktor are good choices for this item.

Devotion is an item which makes the user's healing or shielding stronger against allies who are on low health. Narbash, Muriel and Zinx are great options for this item.

Dynamo is a classic, catch-all Support item that every single Support in the game should be buying. There is not a single Support it does not fit pristinely on. It offers the simple benefit of briefly reducing a target's Armors when the buyer applies an Immobilization to them somehow. Every single Support in the game has at least one, often multiple ways to trigger this.

Enra's Blessing is an item Supports can buy if they want to protect their ally from enemy Crowd Control. Any Support could theoretically use this.

Everbloom is another item for healing Supports only, and it has the benefit of increasing the Armors of anyone that the buyer heals in anyway. This is an amazing item for Narbash, Mourn and Muriel specifically.

Frosted Lure is a Support item for Tanks, making it so that enemies they stand near for long enough will have their movement speed decreased. Adele, Steel, Riktor and Mourn can make great use of this.

Galaxy Greaves is on the niche side, but it provides the buyer with an enhanced jump every 100 steps they take and it improves their movement speed out of combat. Any Support could find themselves wanting to roam and assist other lanes, so the out of combat movement speed buff would help to facilitate this.

Hexbound Bracers is a quirky item. This item was once the ultimate catch-all for tanky Supports. But it would go on to be slightly reworked, so that it is an amazing fit for Narbash and Mourn specifically, but not the best for anyone else. These two are tanky Supports who can also heal, so it fits them like a glove. There are no other tanky Supports who are also capable of healing, so Hexbound Bracers is an awkward fit on anyone else.

Lunaria is the ultimate item for any Support who can heal. It rewards the player for administering heals, by massively bolstering the next heal they give out after they have healed a cumulative total of 250 HP. Narbash, Mourn, Muriel and Maco could get excellent worth out of this.

Luxforge Lantern is the most niche of all Supports items, hands down. It is basically only truly usable for Adele, and is very suboptimal on anyone else. It is an item you can only optimally buy as your very first item, or you don't bother with it at all. It rewards the player for recording takedowns or destroying enemy wards with stacks of permanent Physical Power. Every Support except for Adele scales mainly with Magical Power, so they'll find this item completely useless. Adele is a Physical character, so she and she alone can get good value from this item.

Marshal is an excellent item for anyone who is playing Support in a duo with a Carry who is anyone other than Eden or Revenant. Eden and Revenant get no value out of this item, because it's meant to increase the rate of Attack Speed allies have standing near the buyer, and these two attack at fixed Attack Speeds which cannot be raised or lowered.

Tainted Charm is one of two Tainted items under the Support category. It applies the Tainted status effect to any enemies standing near the buyer, while also then applying a Slow to those enemies.

Tainted Totem is the other Tainted option. This one is for the healers, as it allows anyone buying it to give allies the ability to apply Tainted to foes by healing them. So, Narbash buying Tainted Totem and constantly healing an allied Sparrow alleviates the need for her to buy a Tainted item, as she is effectively receiving the effect of a Tainted item from Narbash (or any other Support capable of healing or shielding) constantly healing her.

Truesilver Bracelet is the signature first item of choice for Narbash mainly. It grants the buyer a small shield when they activate their Ultimate, and while the shield remains, the buyer is immune to all forms of Crowd Control. CC is the lone, crippling weakness of Narbash's Ultimate, which Truesilver Bracelet patches up quite nicely.

Void Conduit is a very niche but usable Support item that anyone could theoretically justify using. Its effect is simple: by standing near an ally, both the buyer and the ally will have their Health and Mana Regen enhanced very slightly. This benefit increases the more allies there are in close proximity to the Void Conduit buyer.

Warp Stream is another extremely niche, but also highly transformative item. In buying it, it replaces the buyer's Blink with a Tele-Blink. The Tele-Blink's cooldown is a staggering three whole minutes shorter than the regular Blink. In exchange is an equally taxing drawback; the Tele-Blink disables itself for three seconds if the buyer takes damage from any source. That makes Warp Stream essentially only usable on very tanky characters who can withstand hits by way of aggressively and constantly getting in the enemy's face by using Tele-Blink to close the gap.

Windcaller is another item for the healer and shielders. When healing or shielding an ally or oneself, the target gains a nifty bonus to their movement speed. Windcaller also gives nice Mana Regen as well.

Xenia is an interesting Support item, as it allows the buyer to apply a shield to an ally by simply standing next to them. The value of the shield diminishes on rapid reapplication.

Aegis of Agawar, Basilisk, Citadel, Draconum, and Gaia Greaves are Fighter class items. These are meant to give the buyer some degree of offensive capability and even a bit of helpful sustain. But, Support characters want to aid allies and help them do more damage and survive, not necessarily be the ones to take this up themselves.

Ashbringer, Equinox and Lightning Hawk are Carry items. Obviously, Supports should have zero interest in items which serve only to bolster the buyer's offensive potential and provide nothing else of note in the manner of utility.

Azure Core, Combustion, Dreambinder, Gaussian Greaves, Lifecore and Wraith Leggings are all Mage items. Same idea as the Carry items; you should generally never build a Support with the primary interest of having them deal significant amounts of damage. Lifecore, however, is actually a signature item for Renna Support, however absurdly niche that generally tends to be. Just for reference, Renna herself, despite being a viable Support, is not actually recommended for the role by Omeda Studios.

Crystalline Cuirass, Catalytic Drive, Elafrost, Fire Blossom, Fist of Razuul, Giant's Ring, Legacy, Tainted Bastion and Tainted Guard are Tank items. Tankier support characters such as Steel, Riktor and Mourn can, on rare occasion, justify some of these items. Crystalline Cuirass would have to be the likelist of them all to get chosen, as this is an excellent item to use if an enemy Magic damage dealer is getting out of hand. The key thing to note here is that the Support category already affords usable items for a tank that, by way of being Support, also offer team utility. Vanguardian gives great stats for a tank while also being an item to help the entire team. For these reasons, though Tank class items can be built, sometimes optimally at that, on Supports, they are usually not preferred to actual Support items.
