Answer: Baruch Goldstein

The Cave complex (or compound) in Hebron was divided into a Muslim and Jewish section. On 25 February 1994 Baruch entered the Cave on the Jewish side, passed to the Muslim side and opened fire. Thirty-nine Palestinian Muslims were killed and 125 injured. After his attack, they beat him to death. Goldstein belonged to the Kahanist movement.

The Cave of the Patriarchs is, according to many traditions, said to be the burial site of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, and Jacob and Leah. It is a holy site for Jews, Christians and Muslims.
2. The gas attack on the Tokyo Subway killed relatively few but injured many. What type of gas was used?

Aum Shinrikyo, religious terrorists from Japan, were the responsible for the subway attack. Five men entered the subway at different points, releasing the chemical. Twelve people were killed, 50 were seriously injured and a further 984 suffered temporary poisoning.
