2. This group was responsible for the kidnapping of 16 foreign tourists in Abyan, Yemen in December 1998.

Answer: Aden-Abyan Islamic Army

It is believed that the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army participated in the USS Cole attack. Its leader, Abu El-Hassan El-Mohader, was executed by the Yemeni government in October, 1999.
