Wayne lost that year to Broderick Crawford ("All the King's Men"). He received his only other Best Actor nomination twenty years later, winning for "True Grit". He also received a Best Picture nomination as the producer of the 1960 classic (in which he also starred), "The Alamo".

Answer: Drew Barrymore

She was born in Culver City, California in 1975. In the same year that she hosted "Saturday Night Live", she co-starred as Gertie in the blockbuster "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", for which she earned the Best Young Supporting Actress award at the 4th Youth in Film Awards.
