1. Poe Dameron was the first character shown in the book. What type of ship did he fly?

Answer: X-Wing

 Poe Dameron was introduced as one of the best pilots in all of The Resistance. He was looking for a piece of the map that would lead to Luke Skywalker.
2. BB-8 took the map from Poe and hauled it to safety. Who or what was BB-8?

Answer: A Droid

 BB-8 was a small Droid made up of two pieces. The body was a giant ball, while the top was a dome-like creation. The Droid was colored orange and white.
3. BB-8 got lost in the desert while attempting to find help for Poe. What planet where they on at the time?

Answer: Jakku

 The first portion of the book takes place on Jakku. Jakku is a desert wasteland much like the home planet, Tattooine, of Luke Skywalker. Rey eventually helped BB-8 to complete his mission.
4. Poe was captured by the evil First Order, but one of the enemy soldiers helped him to escape. What were the soldiers called?

Answer: Stormtroopers

 Stormtroopers originated in the first "Star Wars" movie in 1977. They are traditionally shown as mostly white soldiers with blaster rifles. In this book, and the movie it is based on, they serve the First Order.
5. Rey, BB-8 and Finn escaped the planet on a ship called the Millennium Falcon. Who did they find out was the owner of the ship?

Answer: Han Solo

 Soon after they blasted into space, Han Solo and his friend Chewbacca caught up to them. They were informed that the ship belonged to Han and had been stolen.
6. When Rey met Maz, what did the older alien try to give her?

Answer: A lightsaber

 Maz, a short alien who lived on the planet Takodana, just happened to have Luke Skywalker's old lightsaber in her basement. Maz tried to give it to her, but Rey had a vision when she touched it and ran off.
7. What is the name of the base that the First Order operated out of?

Answer: Starkiller Base

 Starkiller Base was built into the side of an ice planet. It had weaponry strong enough to destroy an entire solar system. The based was destroyed during the book.
8. Kylo Ren was actually Han Solo and Leia Organa's son.

Answer: True

Prior to the book he had been known as Ben Solo. Also prior to the book he had been seduced by the dark side of the force and turned evil. During the book it was revealed what his true identity was just before he fought with Rey and Finn.
9. Where was the final piece of the map to Luke Skywalker hidden?

Answer: In Luke's old droid, R2D2

 R2D2 hadn't been seen in the book prior to the reveal that he held the final piece of the map. Once R2D2 and BB-8 projected their combined pieces of the map, Luke was able to be found.
10. Who was it that actually tracked down Luke at the end of the book?

Answer: Rey

 Chewbacca and Rey left together on the Millennium Falcon to fly to the planet Luke had hidden himself on. Rey took the final leg of the journey, up the side of a steep mountain on her own. Once at the top she handed Luke his old lightsaber as the book ended.
