I would have to say that Caddyshack is one of my most favorite comedies and has got to be one of the greatest golf movies of all time. Spaulding is Judge Smalls' grandson, 3. the Caddy Scholarship was given to Danny Noonan who decided he did not want it, 4. the Bishop, almost had the golf round of his life until he was struck by lightning, 5. Kenny Loggins, 6. Mike Judge refers to Judge Smalls played by the late Ted Knight, 7. Baby Ruth candy bar which was thrown into the pool at the club, 8. Jack Webb refers to Ty Webb played by Chevy Chase, 9. Golden Gophers refer to the gopher which Carl Spackler, the greenskeeper, was chasing around the golf course.
