Answer: Rosetta Stone

The Rosetta stone had the same text in three different languages. The Rosetta Stone "broke the code" of the hieroglyphics and allowed scholars to translate the tremendous amount of ancient Egyptian writing. Anyone who has been to Egypt has marveled at the beautiful but so very complicated hieroglyphics. You can even see the writings on large stones in the waters of the Nile River.

Mr. Giblin invented the "Silent Valveless Water Waste Preventer" that caused the toilet to flush. He worked for Thomas Crapper who was a successful and well known plumber. Mr. Crapper also had several patents of his own for pipe joints and even a manhole cover. During WWI, soldiers saw the words, "T. Crapper-Chelsea" painted on toilet tanks and this was the birth of the slang "crapper" for toilet.

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to celebrate the US Centennial. The original name of the statue was "Liberty Enlightening the World". The crown has seven spikes and these represent the seven seas and the seven continents. President Grover Cleveland unveiled the statue in 1886.

"Evita" - the Argentinian people loved her. She reached out to the poor, she was glamorous and she was very powerful. A ban on dance music was even placed for a month following her death. She was embalmed in a process that took more than a year because Juan wished to place her on permanent display.

It is said that she rested in a glass coffin. When Juan Peron was thrown out of office in l955, Eva went with him and her body was hidden in many different places in Europe. Eventually, the well traveled body of Eva was taken home to Argentina and is now buried in Buenos Aires.

Davy Crockett was a US congressman and an Indian fighter. He was also a storyteller. He was what was then known as a "tall talker" and with his famed coonskin cap, his legend grew. He boasted of superhuman feats and even was said to plan on tearing off Halley's Comet's tail so as to save the world. A colorful character to say the least!
