Marshall was appointed to a seat on the US Supreme Court in 1967 by President Lyndon Baines Johnson. He served until 1991 and was replaced by another African-American, Clarence Thomas. Marshall died in 1993.

NBC (National Broadcasting Corporation) was founded in 1926. The peacock logo was introduced in 1956 to promote its color programming.

His partners Joe Broadhurst and Detective Grover usually covered for McCloud as he used some of his unorthodox methods to solve crimes.
