"The Divine Lady" was a silent movie that told the story of love affair between Lord Horatio Nelson and Lady Emma Hamilton.

Frank Lloyd was born in Glasgow on 2 February 1886.

He received further nominations, most famously for the Charles Laughton version of "Mutiny on the Bounty".

He won the award again in 1934 for Noel Coward's "Cavalcade" and became President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1934.
