Guitarist Eric Clapton, when departing the Yardbirds in 1965, recommended Page as his replacement, but Jimmy wasn't interested, and recommended Jeff Beck, who got the job.
Page finally joined the band in 1966 as bass player when Paul Samwell-Smith quit as he was tired of the constant touring, although Chris Dreja took over bass duties not long after Page joined, allowing the band to have two guitarists in Beck and Page. This was a short lived arrangement however as Beck left the band in November 1966.

Page received his award for working on behalf of Task Brazil and Action For Brazil's Children's Trust, who work tirelessly to improve the plight of the street children of Brazil. In recognition of the work he has done, he has also been made an honorary citizen of Rio de Janeiro and a safe house built for impoverished families and street children was named Casa Jimmy.

Page played 12 string on the tracks, "I'm a Lover Not a Fighter" and "I've Been Driving on Bald Mountain". Sales of the album, and exposure to Page's prowess, were increased when the lead single from the album, "You Really Got Me" went to number one in UK.
Also guesting on the album was another session musician, keyboardist Jon Lord who would go on to be a founding member of Deep Purple.

Answer: The Black Crowes

The album was recorded at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California in 1999 and rather bizarrely featured only old blues tracks or tracks associated with Page. Due to contractual issues with record label Columbia, the Black Crowes weren't allowed to release any of their own songs on the album, and so came across as a backing band for Page.

The album wasn't a great success commercially, reaching only number 64 on the Billboard 200 in USA and just scraping into the top 40 in UK, peaking at number 39.

Page and Winner were neighbours when Winner asked Jimmy to do the soundtrack, which became Page's return to music following the death of former band mate and close friend John Bonham in 1980.
Page threw himself into the task and Winner later commented, "I've never seen a more professional score in my life".
Incidentally, another of Page's former band mates also has a Michael Winner connection, as John Paul Jones composed the soundtrack to his 1984 movie, "Scream for Help".

A BBC poll in 1998 named the album, "Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends" as the worst album of all time, which is surprising given the amount of talent on the disc. Aside from Page, who also co-wrote six of the tracks, the album also featured Jeff Beck, Noel Redding, Nicky Hopkins and John Bonham.

The movie, "It Might Get Loud", is a fascinating watch, covering the influences and introduction to music of these three guitar greats, as well as showing each man giving the others lessons on how to play one of their songs.
In Page's case, he demonstrated the intricacies of "In My Time Of Dying" (1975) and the film closes with all three acoustic jamming on The Band's 1968 hit, "The Weight".

Although Page has played several Fender models, he is well known for being a fan of Gibson Les Paul guitars, as well as their double necked EDS 1275 model. The 2009 Gibson Jimmy Page Signature guitar featured 25 models signed by Page which retailed at £21,000 ($26,000).

Aside from Page and former vocalist for Free and Bad Company, Rodgers, The Firm also featured former Manfred Mann and Uriah Heep drummer Chris Slade and bassist for Roy Harper, Tony Franklin.
The band released two albums, both chart successes, and had Billboard Hot 100 top 30 success as well, but split up in 1986 after just two years together. Page went on to reunite briefly with the Yardbirds, Rodgers formed The Law with Kenney Jones of The Who, Slade became drummer for AC/DC and Franklin has worked with scores of artists, including a stint as bass player for Whitesnake.

Answer: Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin released just eight albums in their all too brief time together, of which all but the debut release went to number one on the UK album charts and the Billboard 200 in USA.
The band never released a single in UK but did release several in USA, of which the best selling was "Whole Lotta Love" in 1969, which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the Cash Box chart.
Following the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, the rest of the band - Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones - decided they could not continue without him and called time on a great musical collaboration.
