His first three releases (beginning in 1977) were #1s. "You Should Be Dancing" was by his brothers (Bee Gees) in 1976, also #1.
8. Simply Red?

"If You Don't Know Me By Now" was also #1, but three years later in 1989. "I'm Too Sexy" was by Right Said Fred.
9. Rod Stewart?

He was a member of The Faces at this time also (1971).

11. Elvis Presley?

Answer: Heartbreak Hotel

Of COURSE Elvis's first hit went to #1.
12. Blondie?

Answer: Heart Of Glass

Believe it or not, they had 4 #1s all together (but that's another quiz). "Atomic" only made it to #40 in the US, although it was a much bigger hit in Britian. Their other #1 was "Rapture".
13. The Beatles?

Answer: I Want To Hold Your Hand

The only artist to hold all top 5 positions in a weekly chart. In other words, they kept themselves from #1, but that's a different quiz...
14. Barry Manilow?

Answer: Mandy

Funny he has a song called "I Write The Songs"- he didn't write it.
15. Men At Work?

Answer: Who Can It Be Now?

Hit and run--these guys didn't last long. Their first two singles, "Who Can It Be Now" and "Down Under", released in 1982, both hit #1.
