Answer: Rats

The Boomtown Rats were an Irish band, formed in 1975, and led by Bob Geldof (vocal). They took their name from Woody Guthrie's novel "Bound for Glory". The group's most successful UK single was "I Don't Like Mondays" which remained at Number one for four weeks in 1979.

The group disbanded in 1986 after Geldof had formed the group Band Aid in order to promote the cause of famine relief in Ethiopia.
