"I don't think that we're traditional death metal. I would say that we're progressive extreme music. Sean Farber, Eyal Levi, and Michael Kameron are the founding members of DÅÅTH.
Sean is responsible for the vocals, Eyal for guitar (along with Emil), and Michael provides the backing vocals, keyboards, and synths for their second album, 'The Hinderers.' Jeremy Creamer is responsible for the bass on the album as well. Former members include two drummers, Corey Brewer and Matt Ellis, and one guitarist, Sam Cuadra.

The band's origin is, in fact, Atlanta Georgia, while the progressive death metal band, 'Opeth,' hails from Stockholm, Sweden.

The term DÅÅTH refers to the hidden node on the Tree of Life, knowledge. The Tree of Life is a mystical model for both mankind's mind and for the universe's creation. In this case, it is made up of 13 nodes (or 'Sephiras') and one 'hidden' node, from which 'DÅÅTH' takes its name, however, this varies depending on the belief source. Each node signifies a different trait or character of the human mind. For example, Chesed signifies Mercy, and the 'Masculine Force,' wisdom. The 14th node, which connects instinct and intellect, is ruptured and this disruption is said to be the cause of humanity's suffering. The band maintains that they use this system as inspiration for their songs (13 albums, 13 tracks, 13 nodes, each album signifying another node's relationships). In addition, they claim that they use it as a psychological reference and an inspirational spring board, rather than singing to inspire belief in it. Yes, Sean, Eyal, and Michael all attended Berklee together, although they have been playing in bands together since high school. However, they later left their schooling to focus on their band, 'DÅÅTH,' an investment that seems to be paying off.

The Eye of DÅÅTH represents the entrance point of all creative energy into our world. Closure of this eye stems all intelligent development, while the opening of this eye will signify the destruction of all life. The Star of Qliphoth/Seth is an eleven pointed star known as a Hendecagram. The symphonic metal band, 'Therion,' often uses this symbol in their album artwork. While Bill Kelliher, the guitarist of 'Mastodon,' has a tattoo of a bantha skull on his arm, and is quoted as stating that it inspired his band's name, 'Mastodon' (Metal Hammer, May 2007, Issue 165).

Answer: 'Dirt-Nap'

On the 1st of July, 2003, 'Dirt-Nap' changed the name of their band to 'DÅÅTH.' 'Hash Gordon and the Drug Barons From Mars' is a punk band that Dani Filth (of 'Cradle of Filth') played in in the sixth form. They literally had the curtains closed on them. Finally, the charming band name of 'Feast on Excrement' was the band 'Cradle of Filth's' future guitarist, Paul Ryan, was in when he met Dani Filth.

'Futility' features a pair of grotesque creatures attempting to seperate their torsos. 'The Hinderers' has a heavily misted forest over the rolling waves of an ocean. While Derek Riggs expertly envisioned the Eddie-satan-Eddie puppet scenario for 'Iron Maiden's' album 'Number of the Beast,' a landmark album in Heavy Metal history.

Answer: Kevin Talley (Drums)

Kevin Talley has played for Dying Fetus (1997-2000), Misery Index (2001-2002 and in 2004), and, most recently, Chimaira (from 2004-2006). None of the other members have played before in a signed band.

Answer: 'Festival Mass Soulform'

'Festival Mass Soulform' was the first song from 'The Hinderers' to be made into a music video. It was this video that helped spark the interest of Roadrunner Records, who subsequently signed 'DÅÅTH.' A music video was later made for 'Subterfuge.' 'Ovum' and 'Subterfuge' were also released as singles, finding there way onto promotional CDs, while 'Cosmic Forge' was available through a link on Roadrunner Record's site.
