"Foreigner" was Foreigner's debut album and contained "Long Long Way From Home", "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold as Ice". The band formed when various members of other groups united to forge a musical alliance. The name was derived from the fact that the band was comprised of American and British members. Their debut album sold over 4,000,000 copies and their follow-up album, "Double Vision", outsold "Foreigner" the following year.

In 1979, her single "Theme from Ice Castles (Through The Eyes Of Love)" only reached Number 76 despite significant airplay. She enjoyed Top Ten success again in 1982 and garnered a Grammy for the Number Five hit "You Should Hear How She Talks About You". In 1991 she reunited with Bette Midler in the film "For the Boys".
