However, it made it into the top five of the "Billboard Top 100" and the video won Best Hip-Hop Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. It has also been parodied more than a few times....

Mysteriously (to me at least) the song proved to be a crossover hit, charting on both the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and the U.S. Pop 100 charts. I must say it is fun to say "badonkadonk."

Fans and critics have been confused over the lyric, thinking The Killers may have been singing dancers, or denser (which would at least be grammatically correct.)

In 2010 AOL Radio ranked it number eight in its list "100 Worst Songs Ever." Maybe it was just too sexy for these lists!
