Beth Gibbons has been the vocalist for English trip-hop band Portishead since its conception in 1991. The song "Sour Times" can be found on the album "Dummy" released in 1994. The singer of this up-beat number is Harriet Wheeler from the English band The Sundays. The song in question is called "My Finest Hour" which can be found on their debut album "Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic" released in 1990. Having only released three studio album from 1990 to 1997, they may best be remembered for their wonderful cover of The Stones classic "Wild Horses" in 1995. Music would eventually take a back seat to parenthood when Wheeler and guitarist David Gavurin decided to focus their time to their two children.

Exene Cervenka has shared vocal duties with X co-founder and bass player John Doe for over twenty years. These L.A. punk rock giants formed in 1977, and got a little help from ex-Doors keyboard player Ray Manzarek, who produced their debut album "Los Angeles" in 1980. Cervenka would also marry Doe in 1980, but they would divorce in 1985.

The lyrics in question are from the song "Because I Do" which can be found on the album "Under The Big Black Sun" released in 1982. Always the artist, Cervenka dabbled with acting and landed a role in the movie "Salvation!" opposite Viggo Mortenson in 1986. Playing his on-screen wife, life would imitate art as the two would marry in real life in 1987. Unfortunately they would split in 1992, and later divorce in 1997.

Their album "Marvin The Album" was originally released in Australia in 1992, but an international version was later released with "Bizarre Love Triangle" in 1994.

Margo Timmins is the lead singer for the Canadian Country/Alternative band Cowboy Junkies. Timmins and the band opted to cover a different version of "Sweet Jane" from the album "1969 The Velvet Underground Live" and not the "Loaded" studio version from 1970.

Original American Punk/Disco goddess Deborah Harry was the lead singer to the band Blondie. Forming in 1976 in New York, Blondie incorporated many musical styles to come up with a sound all their own. However her image would cause tension within the band as all attention seemed to focus on Harry, and not the music.

The lyrics in question are to the song "Dreaming" which can be found on their album "Eat the Beat" released in 1979. Blondie will always be remembered for their disco fueled number one hit song "Heart of Glass" which can be found on their album "Parallel Lines" released in 1978. Cheers all!
