Answer: Denny Laine

Denny Lane was a guitarist in Paul McCartney's post-Beatles band, Wings. He has also guested on solo albums by George Harrison and Linda McCartney.
2. Which of these was never a member of The Monkees?

Answer: Neil Diamond

Neil Diamond wrote The Monkees biggest hit, "I'm A Believer". The Monkees celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2016; Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz are still touring, with occasional appearances by Mike Nesmith. The other member of the Monkees, David Jones, sadly passed away in 2012.
3. Which of these was never a member of U2?

Answer: Bob Geldof

Bob Geldof was the lead singer with The Boomtown Rats.

Irish band U2 have had an unchanged line-up since 1976 of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr.

Criss left the band in 1980 and Frehley in 1982. Other past members have included Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick.

ZZ Top formed in 1969, and the trio of Gibbons, Hill and Beard have been with the band since the beginning. ZZ Top are probably best known for the 1980s singles "Sharp-Dressed Man" and "Gimme All Your Lovin'".

The Jackson 5 formed in the sixties, and the five Jackson brothers who made up the group were Michael, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon. Some of their most famous hits are "ABC", "Blame it on the Boogie", "I Want You Back" and "I'll Be There".

Answer: Cliff Osmond

Cliff Osmond was an actor who appeared in several films in the 1960s and 1970s, including "The Fortune Cookie" and "The Front Page".

The Osmonds first came to prominence on the Andy Williams show in the early 1960s. The brothers Alan, Donny, Jay Merrill and Wayne started performing as a band in the early 1970s. They are well-known for the singles "Crazy Horses" and "Down By The Lazy River" amongst other songs. Donny went on to have a successful solo career, and their little brother Jimmy and sister Marie had big hits with the songs "Long-Haired Lover From Liverpool" and "Paper Roses" respectively.

Bruce Dickinson is the long-term lead singer with Iron Maiden.

David Lee Roth was the original lead singer with Van Halen. After he left, former Montrose frontman Sammy Hager took over, whilst later Gary Cherone (better known for being in the band Extreme) was lead singer for one album only.

Answer: Andrew Roachford

Although never a member of Genesis, as of 2017, Andrew Roachford was lead singer with Mike Rutherford's band Mike and the Mechanics.

Phil Collins was the original drummer with Genesis, but when the original vocalist, Peter Gabriel left the band, Collins took over lead vocals. Both Gabriel and Collins have had very successful solo careers.
10. Which of these was never a member of The Police?

Answer: Edward Woodward

Edward Woodward is probably best known for playing the part of Robert McCall, im the TV show "The Equalizer". Stewart Copeland wrote the theme song for "The Equalizer" and a lot of the music for the show.
