Answer: Alhambra

Alhambra is situated in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County (not the city). Cussler attended Pasadena City College for two years before joining the U.S. Air Force at the time of the Korean Conflict. He was born in Aurora, Illinois in 1931.

Answer: N.U.M.A.

The National Underwater and Marine Agency was founded by Cussler as a non-profit volunteer foundation dedicated to preserving maritime heritage. One of its goals is the protection of historic shipwreck sites through public information. The agency receives its funds from the sale of Clive's books.

The Zavala was originally called the Charleston in 1836. In 1840 Commodore Moore sailed to the provincial capital of Tabasco and held it for ransom. The mayor and leading citizens handed over $25,000 in silver. Moore used the silver to pay his crew back pay. This was her one and only cruise as a warship.

It is a romping adventure about the search for a deadly billion-dollar cargo. "Iceberg" is the third Dirk Pitt book. It deals with an iceberg adrift in the Atlantic ocean with a ship embedded in it.

"Raise the Titanic" is the fourth Dirk Pitt book. It is about finding the Titanic because there is something rare in it's hold. The film starred Jason Robards, Richard Jordan and Alec Guinness. The film was released in 1980.
