The club was formed under the name of Victoria Football Club in 1887, and quickly changed their name to Blackpool St. Johns, and then to Blackpool Football Club, all in the same year, and joined the football league in 1896.

Answer: Raikes Hall Gardens

Blackpool had two spells at Raikes Hall Gardens, firstly from 1887 to 1897, and the second for season 1899-1900. In between this period, they played at the Athletic Grounds, and moved into Bloomfield Road in 1900.
3. Who was the Blackpool's first manager?

Answer: Tom Barcroft

Barcroft managed the club between 1903 and 1909.

Answer: 1953

The 1953 final was known as 'The Matthews Final', but it was Stan Mortensen who grabbed an hat-trick for Blackpool in a 4-3 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
