Answer: Victoria Park

Victoria Park was opened in the same year, 1929, that Ross County were formed. After renovations in 2012 upon their promotion the Scottish Premier League, the capacity became 6,541 (which is greater than the population of Dingwall). It was renamed the Global Energy Stadium for corporate reasons but most fans continued to use the traditional name of the ground.
3. What is the club nickname of Ross County?

Answer: Staggies

The club nickname of Staggies is derived from the stag's head which appears on the club badge. The stag emblem was adopted by the club from the badge of the nearby Seaforth Highlanders army regiment, many local men having fought, and died, with this regiment in World War 1.
4. What colour of shirts were first worn by the club in 1953, and have remained their first choice colours since (apart form a short spell in the 1970s)?

Answer: Navy Blue

Prior to World War 2, County wore claret and sky blue hoops, with royal blue and white vertical stripes being adopted in 1946. After experimenting with red and blue hoops in the early 1950s, the familiar club jerseys of navy blue were first worn in 1953. Apart from a short spell of wearing royal blue in the 1970s, that has been the first choice shirt colour ever since.

A red and white trim has often been added in recent years.
5. During their tenure as a Highland League member, Ross County won many trophies. Which is the only one of the following that they never won?

Answer: Aberdeenshire Cup

The Aberdeenshire Cup is restricted to clubs based in Aberdeenshire and Banffshire, so County weren't eligible to enter this competition. As well as being champions of the Highland League three times (1966-67, 1990-91 and 1991-92), they won the other three cups listed on numerous occasions.
6. In which year were Ross County admitted into the Scottish Football League?

Answer: Dundee United

Routine victories over Berwick Rangers, Inverurie Loco Works and Stirling Albion (who they thrashed 9-0) saw County qualify for a quarter-final away to Hibernian. A 2-2 draw at Easter Road earned them a home replay which they won 2-1. County shocked Scottish football in the semi-final by defeating the mighty Celtic 2-0 to reach their first-ever Scottish Cup Final. On 15th May 2010, the dream was finally ended by Dundee United who won the final 3-0 at Hampden Park.
8. In 2011-12, County had an amazing season which saw them lose just one league game and gain promotion to the top flight of Scottish football for the first time. Who was their manager at the time?

Answer: Derek Adams

A former Ross County player, Adams had two spells in charge of the club between 2007 and 2014, interspersed with a short spell as assistant manager with Hibernian. His second spell with County saw them promoted to the Premier League and finish in the top six in their first season there.
9. In season 2015-16, County's amazing rise peaked when they won the Sottish League Cup, defeating which team in the final?

Answer: Hibernian

County defeated Ayr United and Falkirk (7-0) to set up a quarter final away to arch-rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle. A 2-1 win at the Caledonian Stadium saw them through to a semi-final with Celtic. In a repeat of their 2010 Scottish Cup semi, County again shocked the Glasgow giants, recovering from losing a goal in the first minute to triumph 3-1.

In the final at Hampden Park, on March 13th 2016, they defeated Hibernian 2-1 with the winner coming in the 90th minute courtesy of Dutchman Alex Schalk.
10. Who was manager of Ross County when they won the 2015-16 Scottish League Cup?

Answer: Jim McIntyre

McIntyre played for a number of clubs, most notably Dundee United, before taking up his first managerial job with Dunfermline in 2007. After a brief spell with Queen of the south, he was appointed manager of Ross County in September, 2014. The club's directors showed their appreciation for his efforts in landing them a major trophy by sacking him in 2017.
