Geoffrey Charles Hurst was born on 8th December, 1941, in Ashton-Under-Lyne, England. His hat-trick in the 1966 World Cup final against West Germany was more remarkable by the fact that had Jimmy Greaves not been injured, Hurst would most certainly not have played. England won the game, 4-2.
