Answer: Men's 5000 Meters

Right off the bat on February 8, Sven Kramer, Jan Blokhuijsen and Jorrit Bergsma won the Men's 5000 Meters race. Kramer set an Olympic record of 6:10.76. The next day, Bergsma, Kramer and Bob DeJong swept the Men's 10k. Bergsma shattered the Olympic record by 14 seconds, coming within 3 seconds of Kramer's world record. Just to put the icing on the cake, both the Men and Women won the Team Pursuit, and both teams set Olympic records. Yeah, they're that good.

3. Who became the very first skater to earn over 100 points for his short program at the 2014 Olympics?

A remarkable free skate by Dennis Ten of Kazahkstan elevated him to the bronze medal. Plushenko earned medals at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympics, and helped Russia win the very first Team competition in 2014.
