Roy Keane helped Sunderland survive relegation in the 2007-08 season, but left on 4th December 2008 after four losses out of five games, which resulted in his resignation. Ricky Spragia succeeded him as manager after some impressive results as caretaker.

Answer: Tottenham Hotspur

Sunderland beat Tottenham 1-0 thanks to a last gasp winner by new signing Michael Chopra. 43,967 came to see Sunderland in this home win.
