Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many queens joined the competition in this series of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK"?

Answer: Twelve

While the first series only featured ten queens, this sophomore run of episodes upped the game with a dozen queens from England, Wales, and Scotland, all heading to the workroom and runway to prove themselves as UK's new face of drag. For the first episode, the queens needed to bring two looks to the runway, the first being a look inspired by their UK gay icon and the second with the theme 'Queen of Your Hometown'.

The bottom two in this first episode were Bimini Bon-Boulash and burlesque performer Joe Black with the latter going home.
2. The queens performed a Rusical on the main stage in their second maxi-challenge. This one was themed around which classic?

Answer: Cats

To commence this episode, the eleven remaining queens were asked to vote for their selections in the way of Secretary of Shade, Trade Minister, Leader of the House of Loading It Up, and Baroness Basic. Since Tia Kofi was chosen as Baroness Basic, she got to choose all the roles for the subsequent Rusical, "Rats", a clear and obvious parody of "Cats".

It worked out in her favour since she excelled in the play alongside Veronica Green and Ellie Diamond. On the mainstage, the queens produced their best surprise garments for the runway and the bottom two, Tayce and Cherry Valentine, lipsynced to "Memories" before Cherry was sent packing.
3. The ending of the show's fourth episode was particularly noteworthy because it saw which of these happen during the lipsync?

Answer: A contestant leave the runway

After the surprise elimination of Asttina Mandella in episode three (which involved a 'Who Wore It Best' sewing challenge in which queens battled head-to-head), the queens went into an acting challenge in episode four during which they needed to appear on the faux daytime talk show 'Morning Glory', performing improvised scenes in front of guest judge Lorraine Kelly.

The challenge ended with a 'Monster Mash-Up' style runway in which friends Sister Sister and Ginny Lemon were put in the bottom to lipsync to "You Keep Me Hangin' On" by Kim Wilde, but the performance turned out to be a solo one; Ginny Lemon walked off the stage instead of performing, leaving the competition on her own terms.
4. Production for this series of the show was interrupted due to COVID-19 lockdowns. For how long were the queens removed from filming before returning?

Answer: Seven months

Originally filming in early 2020, the production of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK" season 2 was halted after four episodes. As soon as the queens went back to the workroom following the fourth runway (during which Ginny Lemon quit the competition), they were informed via an emergency message that they would no longer be filming until the conditions were more favourable.

The wait ended up being seven months during which the queens had the opportunity to amp up their drag with any resources they could during their lockdown.
5. Which queen did not return to the competition due to a positive COVID-19 test?

Answer: Veronica Green

When the queens were brought back to the workroom after seven months, only seven of the eight remaining queens returned. It was only then that the girls were informed that Veronica Green, who'd previously won the 'Rats: The Rusical' challenge, had tested positive for COVID-19 in the days leading up to filming. Because of this, she was forced to be disqualified for the season, but she was given an open invitation to return for the inevitable third season of the show when filmed in early 2021. She placed ninth this season as a result.
6. Which queen was brought back to the competition based on a group vote?

Answer: Joe Black

In lieu of Veronica Green not being able to return, Ru allowed the first three eliminated contestants to try their hand at getting back onto the show (Ginny Lemon was excluded due to her purposeful departure), but for these queens to get back into the workroom, they had to receive the most votes from their fellow competitors, the remaining seven queens. Ultimately, five queens voted Joe back into the competition while only Bimini and A'Whora voted for Asttina Mandella. Cherry received zero votes.
7. The queens had to create their own 'Ruruvision Song Contest' track by which name?

Answer: UK Hon

Upon returning to the workroom after their seven month hiatus, the queens were split into two groups (led by Joe Black and Lawrence Chaney) and instructed to make their own name, lyrics, and choreography for a track entitled "UK Hon", which they would be performing on the main stage in the style of a cheesy Eurovision hit. Lawrence's group, 'The United Kingdolls', won the challenge and were safe this week.

Their track also headed straight to the Official UK Charts. Joe's group, Bananadrama, failed to get as good a reception and it sent Joe and Tia to the lipsync where Joe was sent home a second time (after only one episode of being back).
8. Bimini Bon-Boulash won this season's Snatch Game playing which UK celebrity?

Answer: Katie Price

In week six, the top seven queens were brought together for a few rounds of Snatch Game, bringing forth their best celebrity impersonations for the "Drag Race" comedy staple. Bimini Bon-Boulash led the challenge with her version of Katie Price, winning her her second RuPeter Badge in a row. Both Tia Kofi and Lawrence Chaney flopped in their impersonations (Mel B. and Miriam Margoyles, respectively) and were forced to lipsync though this being Tia's third time in the bottom, she wasn't able to overcome the challenge and was eliminated.
9. This series' final challenge involved a performance of which RuPaul track with updated vocals?

Answer: A Little Bit of Love

As with typical finales in the "RuPaul's Drag Race" series, UK's Series 2 ended off with a RUmix and main-stage presentation of a new track, this time "A Little Bit of Love". The final four queens managed to skirt through as a foursome this series (while only three queens made it to the finale in Series 1) and each contributed to the final performance, which involved complex choreographed dance moves and the reappearance of all previously eliminated queens.

The final week culminated in a runway with the final four's best drag.
10. Which queen took the grand prize as the winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK" season 2?

Answer: Lawrence Chaney

After more than half a year of non-continuous filming and near-weekly eliminations, the final four queens took to the mainstage one last time where Ellie Diamond was eliminated in fourth place and the final three performed Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" for a last chance to claim the prize.

In the end, RuPaul crowned Scottish drag queen Lawrence Chaney as the UK's next Drag Superstar, granting her the crown and sceptre, the title, an a trip to Hollywood to star in an exclusive World of Wonder Production.
