January 20, 2016- In one of his famous game segments, Jimmy and Dakota played a game she'd played once with her own family. The game was that Jimmy would read a fake scenario, and then mimic a ringing phone. Dakota answered the phone and responded to the scenario. He mimicked the song "Hotline Bling" as her ringtone, and she answered saying her name was Bubbles, and that her father was a famous clown named Big Laughs. In the end, Jimmy allowed her into clown school.

Dakota was there to promote her film "How To Be Single", which also starred Rebel Wilson. Ironically, on the same show, Marlon Wayans was there to promote his "Fifty Shades" spoof film, "Fifty Shades of Black". Dakota plays Anastasia in the "Fifty" film franchise.

May 2, 2016- Jimmy has played one of his favorite games, "Slapjack", many times on the show. In Chris' version, "Frozen Blackjack", the loser had a pitcher full of ice water funneled down their pants. Jimmy dealt first and lost. Then Chris dealt and lost, and then the final round Jimmy dealt and won. So, Jimmy was the overall winner of the game, which resulted in him funneling down what remained of 5 gallons of ice water until Chris couldn't take it anymore. Chris was on the show to promote "Captain America: Civil War".

Actor and comedian Marc Maron was also on the show that night. He talked about his podcast, which he was doing from the garage at his house, and how President Obama came to his house to be on the podcast. May 16, 2016- Andy was there to promote his latest film, "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping". He and fellow guest Gigi Hadid faced off against Jimmy and Washington Nationals baseball player Bryce Harper. Jimmy and Bryce won, but only because Bryce played "catch word" instead of "Catchphrase". So I call foul on that win.

Answer: Josh Gad

This was on the May 17, 2016 episode. Josh was there to promote his latest animated film "The Angry Birds Movie". "Food Pyramid" was debuted on this episode, as have other versions of the original "Pyramid" game shows of the past. One contestant was blindfolded while their partner ate or drank an item and described it. The person had to guess the edible item before the clue giver moved on to the next item, and there were six items per category. Jimmy and Mario won the game in a tie breaker round.

Mario and Anthony were promoting their show "2016 (RED) Supper", and explained the RED cause which gives money to help stop the spread of HIV/AIDS in utero.
Josh Gad was Olaf the snowman in the animated smash hit "Frozen", and his distinct voice had kids recognizing him in all of his roles. Miley Cyrus was also a guest on this episode to talk about her role as a coach on "The Voice".
9. She played Katniss Everdeen, and appeared in May to reveal "True Confessions" with Jimmy and John Oliver.

Answer: Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence played Katniss in the four "Hunger Games" films, based on the book trilogy. John Oliver, host of "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" on HBO, came on just to play the game with them. The game had been played several times before, each time with three people confessing. Each person had two envelopes, and their fellow players picked the one from which to read. One envelope contained a true confession; one contained a lie. During their turn, a player would read the selected confession and answer questions from the two other players. Then, each one would decide if the confession was real. Jennifer went first, and revealed a true confession- that she'd once taken an Ambien pill before filming a scene on one of the "Hunger Games" movies. Both John and Jimmy correctly guessed it was the truth. Jimmy went next, and also revealed a true confession- that he'd once made up a song called "Am I Doing It Wrong?" and offered it to Paul McCartney to record free of charge. Paul never responded. John guessed it be the truth, but Jen felt it was a lie. John had the final turn, and he revealed a falsehood- that he'd worked one summer as a teenager in the kitchen of Buckingham Palace. Both Jimmy and Jen correctly guessed it was a lie.

Jennifer was there to promote her upcoming film "X-Men: Apocalypse". She plays the younger version of Raven/Mystique in that series.
10. This 44th American President appeared on the show and shared a segment of "Thank You Notes" with Jimmy.

Answer: Barack Obama

On June 9, 2016, Jimmy had his first appearance of a sitting POTUS visit the show. Being Obama's last year in office, it was not too surprising to see him visit the show. Jimmy would normally do his own "Thank You Notes" segment every Friday, but on this Thursday show, he shared the segment with the president. Obama thanked his 2008 slogan "Yes We Can", or as he now liked to call it, "Yes We Did". Jimmy thanked Obama's birth certificate, once used to prove he was an American, and would now be used to prove he was only 54. Obama thanked Questlove's hair stylist for inspiring him to bring back the Obama 'fro after he leaves the White House. Obama also thanked Congress, who'd wished they could replace him for the last eight years, or to put it another way "how do ya like me now?" That was a dig at Donald Trump, who was representing the Republican party for 2016.

Jimmy also did his regular segment that Friday, but Madonna also appeared on the Thursday show with Obama. She sang the song Jimmy requested, "Borderline".
