Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In Byers' dream, what historic event didn't take place?

Answer: John F. Kennedy's assassination

Byers dreamt of an idyllic life, where he'd have a family with Susanne Modeski and live in picturesque suburbia. In his own words: "My name is John Fitzgerald Byers. I was named after our 35th president, and I keep having this beautiful dream. In my dream, the events of November 22nd, 1963, never happened.

In it, my namesake was never assassinated. Other things are different, too, in my dream. My country is hopeful and innocent; young again. Young in spirit. My fellow citizens trust their elect officials, never once having been betrayed by them. My government is truly 'of the people, by the people, for the people.' All my hopes for my country, for myself... all are fulfilled. I have everything a person could want: home and family... and love. Everything that counts for anything in life... I have it.

But the dream ends the same way every time. I lose it all."
2. What term did the dealer at the private poker game make up to trick Byers?

Answer: delamination

The dealer, Grant, first tried to draw Byers out by bringing up a product from the company on his badge, the "AE-135 unit." With Langly on the computer at the other end of an earpiece, though, they managed to identify it as an air conditioning unit and respond appropriately.

When Grant asked about how they got "past the delamination thing," though, Langly couldn't find any information so Byers made up a plausible answer. Grant wasn't fooled, though, and had security pick up Byers and Frohike, who'd been masquerading as cocktail waiter.
3. What did Jimmy's t-shirt say, that Frohike suggested might have prevented him from getting any sensitive information at the conference?

Answer: Government Patsy

Jimmy was complaining that he and Timmy hadn't gotten anything from the "tight lipped defense contractors." Frohike suggested it might have been the t-shirt and Langly chimed in, saying, "maybe both of you could wear one that says 'I'm with stupid.'" Jimmy defended his wardrobe, saying, "You just don't get it, man.

This says that I'm on to them. This says that I comprehend the military industrial power dynamic."
4. What did Langly claim Byers was trying to "kill himself" with?

Answer: ice bucket

Getting ice for the room, Byers saw Susanne let Grant into her room, kiss him, and put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the knob. Understandably depressed, he returned to his own room and immersed his head in the water in the ice bucket. Langly observed dryly that he was trying to kill himself and Frohike chided, "Stop trying to kill yourself, Byers. It's not deep enough."
5. After Langly dismissed Jimmy's claims at being able to get access to the Saguaro Room, to what celebrity did Jimmy compare Langly?

Answer: Michael Bolton

Jimmy claimed obliquely, "I can get in there. And I will, too. When the time is right." Langly's mature dismissal of his claims: "Doo-doo, ca-ca, poo-poo." Jimmy shot back, "Oh, go brush your hair, Michael Bolton."
6. How did Jimmy die?

Answer: hit by bus

After Timmy caught him snooping in the vent over the Saguaro Room, Timmy and his Men in Black cohorts injected Jimmy with the Anoetic histamine. Then he apparently stepped right in the path of a moving bus and was killed!
7. What noise did Scully make as explanation of Jimmy's cause of death?

Answer: "Beeeeep!" (clapped hands)

Langly returned from throwing up to find Scully on the floor of the autopsy room. He suggested she'd just gotten queasy and helped her up. Langly asked what killed Jimmy, and Scully replied, "My medical opinion? Beeeeeeep!" Then she clapped her hands, as though imitating the bus' horn and the crunch of impact.

Then, in a great comedic moment for Scully, she tried to push the stationary exam table, losing her footing and falling to the floor again!
8. What game did Timmy invite Langly to play in honor of Jimmy?

Answer: Dungeons and Dragons

Langly agreed to the invitation, saying "Lord Manhammer will be in attendance." When he arrived in the room, though, he found himself confronted with the Men in Black and was injected. Luckily, Susanne realized that Scully had been injected with the Anoetic histamine and, after administering the antidote on her, checked Langly as well!
9. Who shot Susanne?

Answer: Langly

Timmy and his CIA buddies set Langly up as a patsy, instructing him to shoot Susanne during a break at the conference. He did, but they'd been prepared, so he just shot her with blanks and Frohike, Byers, and Scully helped her escape.
10. Did Susanne die?

Answer: no

After Timmy shot Grant, he brought Susanne to The Lone Gunmen's room to kill them all of them. However, before he could do so, Byers injected Timmy with the Anoetic histamine. Then they fabricated Susanne's death and set Timmy up as the suspect for both her and Grant's murders.

The Lone Gunmen also set Susanne up with a new identity so that she could live her own life. Before she left, though, Susanne gave Byers a kiss and a ring, saying "Someday."
