Radioactive Decay: Fracturing "Half-Life 2" Quiz

This is my first fractured words quiz. Since the chemical topic of half-life has to do with decay, I though Valve Software's "Half-Life 2" (2004, PC, 360, PS3, Xbox) would be the perfect topic. Help me put these decayed words and phrases back together!

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Gore Have At Teak Hun

Answer: gravity gun

Also known as the Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator, the Gravity Gun is a fantastic way to experiment with Valve's Source engine. It can gravitate objects to Gordon and punt them away, but its best use is as a means of throwing objects with incredible speed towards enemies!
2. Poignant Answer Shun

Answer: Point Insertion

Point Insertion is the name of the very first chapter of the game. It opens with an ominous cutscene with the Gman, who addresses the happenings of the first game and leaves only vague hints at what is to come for Dr. Freeman. The rest of the chapter involves Gordon meeting up with faces he knew at Black Mesa, Barney Calhoun and Alyx Vance.
3. Ray Vent Home

Answer: Ravenholm

Ravenholm is perhaps the scariest location in "Half-Life 2". It includes droves of fearsome zombies and is the home to Father Grigori. Though slightly deranged, Grigori does assist Gordon in escaping Ravenholm. He then returns to "tend to his flock." The Zombie Chopper achievement can be earned by completing Ravenholm using only the Gravity Gun.
4. Sin Tree Tore It

Answer: Sentry Turret

Sentry turrets are used throughout the latter half of the game. They are seen especially in Nova Prospekt and are used as a method of defense, for Gordon can set them to fire against the Combine, who close in on all sides.
5. All Ex Vans

Answer: Alyx Vance

Alyx is a companion of Gordon's through the "Half-Life 2" story arc. Although she plays a larger roll in the episodic entries, she is the first in the series to comment on Gordon's silence. "Man of few words, aren't you?"
6. Shiv In Ow Her Wore

Answer: Seven Hour War

The Seven Hour War was lost in exactly that: seven hours. That's all it took for the Combine to overtake humans and Earth. Dr. Wallace Breen, former Administrator of Black Mesa, negotiated a peace agreement with the Combine that saved humans only to leave them enslaved. Appointed Administrator of Earth, Breen is a widely hated figure and antagonist of "Half-Life 2".
7. Tell A Poor Taste Yen

Answer: Teleportation

Teleportation, a cutting edge technology in development by Dr. Kleiner, was supposed to make Gordon's trip to Black Mesa East a breeze. Unfortunately, a malfunction dumped him out just outside Kleiner's lab, and he had to make the trek on foot... with the Combine hot on his heels.

This is also a technology that Aperture Science, a Black Mesa rival, had under development prior to the events of "Half-Life 2". Aperture Science's bizarre research methods are showcased in Valve's "Portal" (2007) and "Portal 2" (2011).
8. Sewers Indian

Answer: Source Engine

The Source Engine is Valve's famous physics and game engine that debuted with their incredibly successful "Counter-Strike: Source" in 2004, which remains one of the most played Steam games on a daily basis. That same year, it was followed by "Half-Life 2", which utilized its physics abilities in many of its puzzles. Valve would continue to use the engine for its games even up to 2011's critically acclaimed "Portal 2".
9. Vie Tall Sigh Inns Care It Ache All

Answer: vital signs critical

This is a warning dictated by Gordon's HEV suit when he is at dangerously low health. This is common when he is hit by a poison headcrab, which instantly drops him to 1 hit point. The suit then administers an antidote that restores his health to nearly what it was when the headcrab bit him.
10. Fort Eek Haunt

Answer: Vortigaunt

Vortigaunts are Xen species that were originally enemies of Gordon in "Half-Life" due to enslavement. They have since allied themselves with the humans in their resistance against the Combine. They are very wise and having innate healing powers not possessed by humans.
