General Ulysses S. Grant and his wife, Julia, are entombed in the masoleum known as Grant's Tomb. The Groucho Marx joke apparently hinged on the fact that it is an obvious question which anyone ought to get right, although some people have suggested that it is a trick question, since you don't bury people in a tomb - the difference being that you inter people in a tomb, which is above ground, but bury them in a grave, which is underground.
