The League of Nations was founded in 1920. However without the two of the most powerful nations in the world, the Soviet Union and the United States, it was a failure. Japan and Italy both flaunted the mandate of the league for collective security in Manchuria and Ethiopia respectively.

The IMF handled the stability of currency conversion by guaranteeing money to nations as they needed to prop up the exchange rates of their currencies. The World Bank was originally intended to loan money to rebuild Europe and Asia after World War II; but, the US's Marshall Plan took on this challenge and the World Bank became an institution that lent money to many countries for large development projects.

The ITO was dead on arrival, however, as it would not be ratified by the United States Senate who saw it infringing too much on national sovereignty.

The WTO grew out of a series of bilateral trade agreements called GATT.

Answer: Commonwealth of Nations

The Commonwealth of Nations is an organization of 53 independent states made up of mostly former British colonies (except Britain herself and Mozambique - a former Portuguese colony). It is set up to promote economic development, human rights and world peace, among other things. Its offices are in London.

NATO was founded in 1949 and made up of the United States and its European Allies. It is still headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The Warsaw Pact was founded in 1955 and consisted of the Soviet Union and its European Allies. Its headquarters were in Moscow. It was disestablished in 1991.

Each nation receives two representatives from its government plus one each from the business community and labor unions. The ILO was founded as part of the League of Nations in 1919 and currently is a United Nations specialized organization residing in Geneva.
