Cornwall is in southwest England and bordered on three sides by sea. It is a royal duchy with a rich cultural identity and its own language, which is taught in some primary schools and occasionally used in official ceremonies such as weddings or other religious or civic ceremonies.

The flag of Cornwall is called Saint Piran's flag, named after Saint Piran, a 5th-century Cornish abbot, who is also the patron saint of tin miners. Saint Piran's day is 5th March and many events take place in the week preceding this day, a period known as "Perrantide".
4. Which English county has a red flag with a silver rampant horse depicted on it?

Answer: Kent

Kent is in the southeast of England and is connected to France via the Channel Tunnel which has its UK port in Folkestone. Other than Folkestone, other major settlements include Maidstone, Gillingham, Dartford and Canterbury. 5. A golden crown pierced by two golden arrows against a blue background is the flag of which English county?

Answer: Suffolk

Suffolk is on the east coast of England and is home to one of the largest container ports in Europe at Felixstowe. Major towns and cities include Bury Saint Edmunds, Newmarket and Ipswich. Author Eric Blair lived in the county and took the name of the county's main river, the River Orwell, to use as his pen name of George Orwell.

The county flag is based on the coat of arms of Saint Edmund, a Saxon king of East Anglia, the region in which Suffolk is located. Saint Edmund's burial site is located at the town of Bury Saint Edmunds.
6. Which English county has a flag of a red rampant dragon on a gold background?

Answer: Somerset

Somerset is in southwest England, with a coastline facing South Wales. Bath, Taunton and Yeovil are major settlements, along with the coastal resort of Weston-Super-Mare. Reading, Maidenhead and Newbury are all in Berkshire, as is Slough which will be well known to any fans of UK TV show, "The Office" (2001-2003).

The flag of Berkshire features two traditional county symbols in the stag and oak, which are mentioned in the poem "Battle Of Agincourt" (1627) by Michael Drayton.

The designs on the flag of Warwickshire have been used since at least the Middle Ages, originally separately but there is evidence of them being put together and used by the 12th Earl of Warwick (1338-1401).
10. Which English county flag showed six gold swallow-like birds on a blue background?

Answer: Sussex

Sussex is a historic former maritime county in the southeast of England.
