Great first half, Mandzukitch own goal, Perisic in a great shoot tie the game and Griezman in a penalty score the 2-1. Croatia was better in the first 15 minutes, but the game was super close, and continue the free kicks and corners in a key to win the games, all goals today start in a dead ball(it's dead ball the name for free kicks, corners and penalty?). VAR struck again. I will admit that on the whole it has straightened out some injustices along the way so it has been quite positive. But why oh why are referees looking at handball cases like the one in the final and the other dubious ones during the tournament and giving them! That was not a penalty! It has to be deliberate! That did not look deliberate! Good final though eh? They are usually tense affairs but this one was pretty open. It's all my fault Bernard.........England would have been in final had I predicted that Croatia would beat them! Lol Mind you, given the display by France probably as well they weren't. :) So what went wrong with final? I predicted French victory too! All "done and dusted" now.......overall been good.........VAR? (Jury still out)...............and UK media, just a reminder of what happened.......England finished in 4th place.......quite good but no coconut and are not yet, IMO, "world beaters"......just saying. Actually I thought that last penalty was a penalty on seeing the VAR footage because the Croatian player seemed to flick his hand towards the ball. Movement of hand towards the ball would count as a penalty. There was no need, that I could see, for him to move his hand in that direction for any other purpose than to connect with the ball. In slow motion it makes it seem like a deliberate move, not at all when you watch it at normal speed. I totally disagree that it was deliberate.
