Thunderbird 3 is a red space rocket that is piloted by Alan or John Tracy. Its primary purpose is to ferry people and supplies to Thunderbird 5 which is the International Rescue Space Station. "Thunderbirds" ran for two seasons in 1965 and 1966 and used puppets to tell the story of the International Rescue team led by Jeff Tracy and his five sons. The family used futuristic craft to save the world from natural disasters and bad guys. Thunderbird 1 was a rocket plane, Thunderbird 2 a supersonic aircraft carrier, Thunderbird 3 was a rocket-ship, Thunderbird 4 an underwater submersible, and Thunderbird 5 a large space station.
