Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:
All the correct answers can be seen as a "Crash". The 1996 Dave Matthews album, "Crash", coincidentally is the one that contains their hit "Crash Into Me". Don Cheadle stars in the three-time Oscar winning 2004 film "Crash". The 1973 J. G. Ballard novel, "Crash", was released as an equally controversial film in 1996. Growing up as a young lad, one of my favorite video game series were those featuring Crash Bandicoot, first released by Sony in 1994. "Crash" was released as Gwen Stefani's sixth single on her 2006 album "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." Crash is an extension of the card game Nine-Card Brag, and is thus also known as 13-Card Brag. Billy "Crash" Craddock was a famous rockabilly singer, and Crash is the name of the puppet in the Disney show "Crash & Bernstein". The 1988 film "Bull Durham" is a baseball film starring Kevin Costner as Crash Davis. Crash was the name of one of the opossums in "Ice Age: The Meltdown" (seen alongside his brother, Eddie) and crash was also a type of course fabric, often used for towels. A group of rhinos, fittingly, is known as a crash, and crash test dummies help in the research of collision safety.
The wrong answers all fit better as "Crush". Bon Jovi's hit single "It's My Life" was found on their 2000 album "Crush". David Archuleta, after winning American Idol, released his single "Crush" in 2008. The WCW wrestler Brian Adams was known under his moniker "Crush" in the WWF. Shin Hyo-seob released his first album "Crush on You" in 2014, under his stage name, Crush. "Crush" was a 1992 award winning New Zealand Cannes Film Festival entry. Crush was the 150-year old (and still young) sea turtle in the 2003 animated film "Finding Nemo", as well as a brand of soda most noted for their Orange Crush. As for a video game reference, I could have been cruel with an obscure first world boss, Crush, in "Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage", but perhaps "Candy Crush" is a more known video game (in fact one of the highest grossing games of all time, despite being free-to-play) released in 2012, and ported to mobile the same year.
