Answer: The Beatles

The Beatles' "Rubber Soul" was Number One on the album charts in 1965.
"Abbey Road" was released in 1969 and also reached Number One.
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" reached Number One in 1968.

Answer: The Beach Boys

Surprisingly, given the significance afforded it today, "Pet Sounds" failed to make Number One in Britain; it was Number Two in 1966.
"Summer Days and Summer Nights" got to Number Four in the same year and "Wild Honey" was a Number Seven album in 1968.

Answer: Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan reached Number One in 1965 with "Bringing it all Back Home". "Blonde on Blonde" reached Number Three in 1966 and "John Wesley Harding" was another Number One for Bob on 1968.

Answer: The Rolling Stones

Often regarded as The Stones' riposte to "Sgt. Pepper", "Their Satanic Majesties Request" reached Number Three in the album charts in 1967. "Beggar's Banquet" also reached Number Three in the following year. "Let it Bleed" was a Number One album for The Stones in 1969.

Answer: Simon and Garfunkel

I was surprised to find that "Bridge over Troubled Water" didn't chart until 1970 (in the UK), however "Sounds of Silence" reached Number Thirteen in 1964. "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme" also reached Thirteen in 1968. "Bookends" was the duo's first UK Number One album in 1968.
6. There were some great guitar-led albums in the 'Sixties; who produced these: "AYE", ABAL" and "EL"?

Answer: The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Jimi's albums "Are You Experienced" and "Axis, Bold as Love" both charted in 1967, reaching Numbers Two and Five respectively. "Electric Ladyland" reached Number Six in the following year.
