1. Legend ("All of Me")

John Legend was born John Stephens in 1978 at Springfield, Ohio. He began his career as a studio musician and backup singer before releasing his first album in 2004. That album "Get Lifted" was a double platinum seller and spawned his first hit single, "Ordinary People". That song and album led to his winning three Grammy Awards (Best Single, Best Album and Best New Artist).

He married model Chrissy Teigen in 2013. His hit song "All of Me" (2013) was written in honor of his wife.

Actor and pro wrestler John Cena was born in Massachusetts in 1977. He has won more than a dozen WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) championships. The three-time world champion was named the Wrestler of the Decade (for 2000 to 2009) by "Pro Wrestling Illustrated". Cena has also achieved success as an actor, appearing in over thirty-five movies and has made numerous appearances on TV.

He is known for his philanthropy, having granted over 650 wishes for the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation.

John Wayne was born Marion Morrison in the small town of Winterset, Iowa, in 1907. His family later moved to California, where Wayne was introduced to show business. He began as a prop boy before being asked to play bit parts in low budget westerns. In 1930 he got his break when he was asked by director Raoul Walsh to star in "The Big Trail". Walsh and a studio executive decided to name Morrison John Wayne, without any input from the new actor.

His success in that movie led to him starring in over 140 films from 1930 to 1976. In 1969 he won an Academy Award for Best Actor for playing the role of Rooster Cogburn in the movie "True Grit". Known for his tough guy persona and intimidating walk, Wayne credited his style to emulating Wyatt Earp who he had met through his friendship with Tom Mix.
4. Adams (Quincy's dad)

John Adams, the second President of the USA, was born in what is now Quincy, Massachusetts. The "Founding Father" became an advocate for American independence after the British Parliament levied a tax on the colonists through the Stamp Act.

As president he led the effort to establish a US Navy, but his support of a series of laws (the Aliens and Sedition Acts) which, among other things, restricted free speech, was a factor in his losing his re-election bid to Thomas Jefferson. His son, John Quincy Adams, was elected the sixth president in 1824.

Jon Voight was born in Yonkers, New York. The internationally acclaimed actor's awards include an Academy Ward for Best Actor for his performance in "Coming Home" (1978), a British Academy Film Award for Best Newcomer in 1970, and four Golden Globe Awards.

He has played the role of several historical figures including Franklin Roosevelt, sportscaster Howard Cosell, basketball coach Adolph Rupp, and Pope John Paul II. He is the father of actress Angelina Jolie and actor James Haven.

He retired in 2025, holding the Ultimate Fight Championship record for most title defenses, most wins, and most combined days (1,743) ranked number one in his weight class.

10. Russell (Playtex)

Jane Russell was born in Minnesota, but spent her first few years living in Alberta, Canada. Later her family moved to California where her acting career started. She became a sex symbol of the 40s and 50s, starring in two dozen films.

Her first film role was in the Howard Hughes movie "The Outlaw". The film had a limited release in 1943, but was controversial because censors were concerned about her cleavage. It was finally able to be fully released in 1946. In the 70s Russell was known for her commercials for the Playtex "cross your heart bra".
11. Curtin (SNL)

Born in Massachusetts, Curtin is one of the original members of the Not Ready for Prome Time Players on the popular comedy sketch show, "Saturday Night Live". She is an ardent supporter of UNICEF. Known for her dry, low-key sense of humor she has been dubbed the "Queen of Deadpan".
12. Addams (Nobel Peace Prize)

Jane Addams was an author and activist who fought for women's suffrage and social reforms to help those stuck in poverty. Born in Illinois, she has been dubbed the founder of social work in the United States. In 1931 she became the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

She was among the first to bring attention to social issues like human trafficking and prostitution, and used settlement houses to help people overcome poverty and the controversial use of eugenics. At the time of her death, in 1935, Addams was one of the most popular and influential women in the USA.
13. Henson (Kermit the Frog)

Puppeteer Jim Henson was born in Mississippi. He gained international fame as the creator of "The Muppets", including famous puppets and characters like Kermit the Frog and Big Bird. He was instrumental in the success of the children's show "Sesame Street", and directed several movies including "The Dark Crystal".

He was a pioneer in puppetry and changed the genre forever. At his funeral in 1990 he was honored by songs from Big Bird (Carroll Spinney), as well as some of his favorite songs sung by other Muppet characters.
14. Thorpe (Olympics)

Thorpe was born in the US territory that later became Oklahoma. The native American is considered one of history's best athletes. He won two gold medals in the 1912 Summer Olympics. In college he ran track and field, played American football, baseball, lacrosse, tennis, boxing, handball, and competed in ballroom dancing, winning the 1912 intercollegiate ballroom dancing championship. He was a first team All-American twice in football.

Professionally he won three American football league championships with the Canton Bulldogs and played in the NFL from 1920 to 1928. He also played professional baseball from about 1910 to 1922 with most of the years being with the New York Giants. He has been inducted into at least a dozen halls of fame, including the National Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. He is buried in a town he never visited - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
15. Parsons (Bazinga)

Actor Jim Parsons was born in Houston, Texas, and is best known for his role as Sheldon Cooper in the American sitcom, "The Big Bang Theory". This indicated that Sheldon considered what he said was a joke or prank.

He was selected the league's Most Valuable Player three times. "Sporting News" magazine named him the greatest football player in the history of the NFL in 1999. He also was an advocate for civil rights during the turbulent times of the 1950s and 1960s.
