Adam Sandler got his big break as a cast member of NBC's "Saturday Night Live". The New York City comedian has created some of the silliest yet most profitable box office hits of all-time. "The Wedding Singer" (1998) starred Adam with Drew Barrymore and paid homage to the great music of the 1980s. "Pixels" was an action comedy that had classic video game characters coming to life to attack Earth. Kevin James co-starred with Adam in this 2015 film.

Adam Smith's book, "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nation" (1776) set the stage for modern economic thinking.
