Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Yoshi Hill

Answer: New Super Mario Bros. U

One of the earliest levels in Acorn Plains in "New Super Mario Bros. U", Yoshi Hill is the first location at which you'll be able to make use of Mario's long-time buddy, Yoshi, bringing him into being by finding his egg in the blocks throughout the stage.

This level, set in the grasslands of the game's first World, will set the basics of the dinosaur companion; Mario will end up finding different Baby Yoshis across the map over the course of the rest of the game.
2. Piranha Plants on Ice

Answer: New Super Mario Bros. U

Though this World 2 level, found in the Layer-Cake Desert, is actually snow-based (like Mario would find in the Frosted Glacier), it's actually connected to through a secret level in a previous location (specifically Spike's Spouting Sands). When completed, it will allow Mario to skip Worlds 3 and 4 and put him near the start of the Soda Jungle.

The equivalent level for this in "New Super Luigi U" is known as Slippery Rope Ladders.
3. Freezing-Rain Tower

Answer: New Super Mario Bros. U

Found midway through Mario's visit to the the Frosted Glacier World, Freezing-Rain Tower contains both dense rain and massive icicles, both of which will be of great impediment as Mario slip-slides his way to a fight against Boom Boom. The version of this Tower in "New Super Luigi U" us called Icicle Tower, and it omits the massive icicle obstacles in favour of many, many more smaller ones.

It's hard to tell which is worse from a safety point of view.
4. Thrilling Spine Coaster

Answer: New Super Mario Bros. U

Set in a dark cavern in the Rock-Candy Mines of World 6, the Thrilling Spine Coaster puts Mario on the back of a moving platform that will careen through the enemy-infested, poison-bottomed tunnels found in the level, and all Mario will need to do is jump and dodge to get to the end unscathed.

The Spine Coaster returns in a handful of levels in the game. In "New Super Luigi U", this level becomes Spine Coaster Stowaways and takes place outside.
5. Swim for Your Life!

Answer: New Super Mario Bros. U

One of the later levels of the game, this one appears in the Superstar Road, unlocked only if you managed to collect all of the Star Coins in the Sparkling Waters world earlier on. In this level, you need to keep moving around while underwater, avoiding a constantly-spawning fish ready to suck you in and eat you up. Fortunately, he'll die to any fireballs you cast his way, but he will return just as hungry as before with only a brief respite.
6. Rolling Yoshi Hills

Answer: New Super Luigi U

In "New Super Mario Bros. U", World 1-3, found in the Acorn Plains, was known as Yoshi Hill. The track gets a slight upgrade in "New Super Luigi U", even if it's in the same spot on the map, when it's converted into Rolling Yoshi Hills, a level that propels Luigi along conveyor-belt-like ground to the finish.

In both cases, it'll be the first level in which you encounter Yoshi as a companion.
7. Morton's Lava-Block Castle

Answer: New Super Luigi U

Do you want more ground you can't touch? Well this second Castle level, Morton's, is found at the end of World and provides a world of opportunity for Luigi to accidentally slip into something a little warmer. Moving platforms here lead to a fight against the second Koopaling, whose massive hammer gives him the ability to use a colossal Pokey to fight back.

In "New Super Mario Bros. U", this level would be Morton's Compactor Castle, which still contains a lot of lava, but the platforms are positioned to crush Mario instead of dipping him into the pit.
8. Haunted Cargo Hold

Answer: New Super Luigi U

The Sunken Ghost Ship level found in the middle of Sparkling Waters, the third World, the Haunted Cargo Hold has Luigi swimming through the bowels of a derelict ship wrecked in the otherwise clear waters of this locale. In both games, this level holds a secret exit that allows the player to head southward along the map's edge towards the game's sixth World, Rock-Candy Mines, through a beanstalk-themed level.

In "New Super Mario Bros. U", the Haunted Cargo Hold is known simply as Haunted Shipwreck.
9. Wiggler Floodlands

Answer: New Super Luigi U

Massive Wigglers crisscross this vertical level near the end of the Soda Jungle, but only in "New Super Luigi U", where Luigi's higher jumping capability will help him climb to the top. It's not that easy though; in addition to being severely time limited by the timer itself, Luigi has to contend with a constantly-rising poison that pushes him upwards at all times. Remember: if he touches the purple poison, it's an instant loss.
10. Flame Chomp Ferris Wheel

Answer: New Super Luigi U

A series of spinning platforms through the clouds and cliffs of the Meringue Clouds World, Flame Chomp Ferris Wheel relies on your ability to jump around through chaos to survive the rush to the end. In this one, Mario will need to dodge not only Big Piranha Plants, but numerous Flame Chomps as they expend all of their fireballs in singular big blasts before exploding.

It's chaos, but a steady hand (or long leaps) can help you get past as much as possible. This is the fifth level of World 7, but only in "New Super Luigi U".
