Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A tanky Support who can stick around for the long haul makes sense. Which Support character of the following has the highest Durability stat?

Answer: Steel

With a Durability of 8, Steel's Cybernetic Shell passive and his tremendous health scaling make him the tankiest Support in the game by a substantial margin. In fact, Steel is the second tankiest character in the entire game period, only being outperformed by the Jungler Rampage.
2. Healing may or may not be a valuable asset to have in a Support depending on the situation. Which Support from the following can heal allies with an ability?

Answer: Narbash

With Song of my People, Narbash can become a very effective healer as the game carries on. He isn't the only Support who can heal though, as Zinx, Mourn and Phase are just a few different options that could also satisfy this niche.
3. If you'd like a Support who can offer some crowd control in the manner of AoE utility, which Support of the following can offer that?

Answer: Lt. Belica

Lt. Belica can deploy a mana-siphoning drone that also autonomously attacks nearby enemies which use abilities. She can also knock enemies into the air with her secondary ability. Finally, due to Belica's unique basic attack properties, she can uniquely take advantage of the Dawnstar item and potentially spread it to two combatants at once.
4. While most Support characters tend to specialize strictly in playing Support, some of them are capable of playing other roles effectively as well. Which Support of the following does the game have an alternate recommended role for?

Answer: Riktor

In addition to being an effective Support, Riktor has also been well designed to handle Jungle duties as well. Other examples of a Support who can do another role effectively would be Steel (offlane), Lt. Belica or Argus (midlane).

Although Dekker's above average magical scaling for a Support may make her seem to be a fit for the midlane role, the game does not recommend doing this. While that doesn't mean someone can't play Dekker midlane and succeed, it does mean that the developers generally imagine doing so will place the player at a disadvantage.

The same principal would apply for Zinx, and her oddly powerful basic attack scaling for a Support. She is not recommended for the Carry role by the game despite this scaling.

Similarly, Narbash may have the sustain you would want in a Jungle, but he is not recommended for the role by the game. As well, his pitiful damage output would genuinely make him a poor choice for it anyway.
5. Upon evolving their Crest to its final form, Support characters who selected the standard Consort Crest will be able to choose from three different Crest items. One of them is Tranquility. What does Tranquility do?

Answer: Heal and buff nearby allies

Tranquility heals the user and nearby allies for 150 + double the player level. In addition, it offers them a 10% bonus to damage reduction for 10 seconds.
6. Silentium is the second option provided under the Consort Crest for Support characters. When activated, what does it do?

Answer: Silence nearby enemies

The silence is applied for 1.5 seconds. During this time, the afflicted will be unable to cast any abilities, use Crest items or Blink. It only works on enemies, so you don't have to take care to use it away from allies.
7. The third choice for a Crest item under the Consort Crest is Reclamation. When activated, what does it do?

Answer: Cleanse the user and nearby allies

While technically situational, there are many, many instances where the player will encounter crowd control effects, on-hit effects and aura effects that leave behind a lingering effect. Activating Reclamation is a get out of jail free card for anything other than the user getting stunned or silenced. If an ally gets stunned or silenced, Reclamation will immediately snap them out of those effects.

It will cure damage over time effects on the spot as well, which could prove life saving in the face of enemies with high bleed or after damage effects, such as Grux or Kallari.
8. In this game, there are three different types of damage: Physical, Magical and True. When looking up and down the entire Support roster, one may notice that they all predominantly do the same type of damage. What type of damage do Support characters do?

Answer: Magic

While Omeda Studios hasn't explicitly stated why, the reasoning for this can be found by doing a little bit of digging...

Support characters aren't intended to do a lot of damage on their own, naturally. However, their damage still bears minimal, existent relevance to the balance of a game.

All heroes in this game passively gain Physical defense as a game goes on. However, no Hero in this game gains Magical defense per level up unless they buy items which give them Magical defense.

As such, Supports intended to do minimal but existent damage can achieve this by dealing Magic damage. This would force counterplay options for an enemy if they really and truly wanted to fully suppress a Support, at the expense of something else that is likely vastly more important.

Therefore, to sum it up briefly: Supports predominantly do Magic damage as a means to balance the game. While it is silly that Steel bulldozing straight into an enemy with a giant metal board deals Magic damage, it's ultimately necessary.
9. Regardless of the Crest item, Support characters will receive a passive called 'Visionary' that grants them the Solstone item. What does the Solstone do?

Answer: Grant easily regenerating Wards

Acquisition of the Solstone increases the player's Ward storage to three. They will also replenish this storage just for returning to base, meaning they could go and set down their three Wards, then return to base to immediately get another three Wards rather than wait for their cool down to end.
10. Like with the Solstone, Supports in general will all receive the Pacifist passive. What does Pacifist do?

Answer: Reduces gold received from minion kills

By design, the intention is for the Support to allow the Carry, whom they are supporting, to kill minions and level up to become stronger as fast as possible. Pacifist is a means for the game to gently remind players of this, so as to deter them from "stealing" minion kills from the Carry.
