Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Spawn into the game

In Vorkuta, Reznov and Mason are faking a prison skirmish so that they can attract the attention of a guard. When the guard arrives, whichever one he is not focusing on would get the jump on the guard. In this case, the guard starts beating Reznov with a baton, turning his back to Mason, and allowing the latter to bash his head in from behind with a rock.

In Origins, players spawn into the game right next to Generator One and the Quick Revive perk machine. There are two Shovels to pick up, one piece of the "Archangel" music Easter Egg, as well as a Ballista and M14 wall buy.
2. Secure the Keys

This is the first, official step to freedom.

In Vorkuta, this step is fulfilled when Mason manages to incapacitate a guard and literally secure the keys to unlock their prison cell and escape.

In Origins, the 'keys' are the four Elemental Staves of the Ancients, the Ice, Wind, Fire and Lightning Staves.
3. Ascend from darkness

In Vorkuta, the prisoners rush to a freight elevator and ride it from the underground prison up to the surface.

In Origins, this involves upgrading each of the four Staves to their upgraded forms. This is easily the most tedious part about the entire Easter Egg Main Quest. Especially the Staff of Ice, as that Staff forces the player through a very convoluted puzzle amidst the upgrade process.
4. Rain fire

In Vorkuta, the player must use an improvised slingshot to launch molotov cocktails at a series of watchtower gunners. Funnily enough, in the Wii version of "Black Ops", the player instead uses a Crossbow with a flaming tip.

In Origins, this step involves the player temporarily relinquishing their Staff of choice. They must then enter one of the robots at random, the correct one being indicated by a weird light displaying on the bottom of one of its feet. After doing so, there is a red button inside the correct robot that the player must press. After pressing it, the player must quickly advance to the next step.
5. Unleash the horde

In Vorkuta, this step is simple as can be: the prisoners rush out into the open, as a massive cluster, and make a mad dash into the prison area, starting a riot. The player will advance towards, and eventually kill, a heavy machine gunner to proceed.

In Origins, this step requires the G-Strike. The player will have to quickly throw it at a location out of bounds upon exiting the robot they just entered. If done correctly, a massive swathe of ten Panzersoldats will appear from the hole in the ground to attack the player. This is taking 'unleash the horde' quite literally!
6. Skewer the winged beast

In Vorkuta, this step takes about five seconds to complete. The player must simply pick up a harpoon gun and use it to take down a massive chopper that will be right in their face. Hitting it anywhere at all immediately passes the step.

In Origins, this step is a lot more time sensitive. The player must first wait until they obtain a Zombie Blood power up, which could take some time. Once done, the player will see a yellow colored plane in the sky that they must shoot down, the exact same sequence used to obtain the Staff of Fire. Only this time, instead of getting a staff piece, the player will rush to the downed plane to receive the Maxis Drone, an upgraded version of the G-Strike.
7. Wield a fist of iron

In Vorkuta, this is debatably the coolest part of the entire mission. The player will break into an armory in the prison and pick up the Death Machine, a mini gun with 999 rounds in it. For reference, this is the only time in the entire campaign that the Death Machine is available. This is a temporary powerup in Zombies, but here, the player can use it forever until they run out of ammunition.

In Origins, this is the most notorious step for being a step that can potentially softlock players out of the rest of the Easter Egg Main Quest if they aren't very careful. The player must first obtain the One Inch Punch. Once done, they must use it to attack twenty Crusader Zombies inside a Ritual of the Ancients site. The attacks do not have to kill, they just have to land. The reason this step can softlock players is that they have to pick up a tablet which drops off of the 20th zombie struck. It is possible to strike zombies who are outside of the playable area. If the tablet drops in such an area, the player can't pick it up, and their quest is officially over at that point. As such, it is absolutely mandatory to ensure that the 20th struck Crusader zombie is attacked when it is inside playable area. Once the tablet is picked up, the One Inch Punch will be upgraded into the Iron Fist.
8. Raise Hell

At this point in Vorkuta, the remaining prisoners have made it outside the actual prison and must simply push through responding Spetsnaz soldiers. This is a simple sequence where the player must push through them.

In Origins, the player must once again briefly give up their Staff. This time, it must be placed inside the Crazy Place, and the player will need to remain very close to their Staff as they kill one hundred zombies while standing near it.
9. Freedom

This is the end of Vorkuta. As Mason, the player simply jumps onto a moving train from the motorcycle they are riding. Sadly, Reznov was required to divert himself towards pursuing Spetsnaz, to ensure Mason would make the jump. As a result, Reznov was cornered and apprehended as Mason could only helplessly watch as he iconically says to Mason "Freedom for you, Mason! But not for me" right as he is run down.

This is the end of Origins as well. With all steps finished, the player must simply approach a shining bright light in the Crazy Place and interact with it. Doing this ends the entire game and completes the quest.
10. End the game

Once Mason boards the train out of Vorkuta, the mission ends. This was a sequence told as a flashback story, while Mason is being interrogated.

In Origins, there is both a special end game soundtrack and even a cutscene that plays when the player finishes the quest. This cutscene is iconic for confusing and even angering players across the community. The cutscene itself shows child versions of Richtofen, Takeo, Dempsey and Nikolai playing with each other in a bedroom. They have action figure versions of zombies and other notable characters, such as a Panzersoldat. The scene itself implies that the entire Zombies journey itself was just a kid's action figure game, which confused and even upset some players. Thankfully, this was debunked in "Black Ops 3", proving that it was not just a child's game, but an actual storyline.
