2. Which record producer, who invented the Wall of Sound, died in January 2021?

Answer: Phil Spector

Phil Spector was a musical powerhouse nearly from the beginning of his career - he was once, at the age of 21, the youngest person ever to own his own US music label. His work as a music producer is still a major influence today, and many well known songs (John Lennon's 'Imagine', The Righteous Brothers' 'Unchained Melody', and George Harrison's 'My Sweet Lord' are among the many examples) were his work.

Unfortunately, Spector also had a violent side - his first wife, as well as two of his sons, say that he had held them captive in their own home...among other less savory allegations. On May 29th, 2009, he was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for murder, and would have become eligible for parole in 2024. Phil Spector died in prison at 81 years old.

10. Besides being entertainment personalities, what do these people have in common: John Lennon, Ingrid Bergman, Marilyn Monroe and Jack Nicholson?

Answer: raised by people who were not their parents

Lennon's father was a merchant seaman and was away from home for extended periods and his mother was reputedly unfaithful, so he was taken and raised by an aunt and uncle. Bergman's mother died when she was three and her father died when she was 13. Afterwards she lived with several aunts. Monroe came from a troubled home: she was unsure of her father's identity and her mother was emotionally unstable.

She was made a ward of the state and passed around between family friends and relatives until she married James Dougherty in 1942 at age 16. Nicholson was the child of a bigamous union of show business people, so his maternal grandmother insisted on raising him, and he was led to believe she was his mother and his mother was his sister.
