Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. My most famous guest on my blackjack table was a sweet guy. I talked to him about his movies, where he portrayed Marty McFly. I also told him that I enjoyed watching his television character of Alex P Keaton. Who was this celebrity I met?

Answer: Michael J Fox

If you ever talk to Michael, just tell him you know his favorite blackjack dealer. I asked him about his political background and asked him if he was really a strong Republican, like his character on "Family Ties". On the television show he was the oldest of three children to Elyse and Steven Keaton. Both of his parents were the "hippy generation". It was fun watching every episode where he would make fun of his somewhat dingy sister, Mallory.

My dealer friend wanted to meet him so badly, so I had her come up and I introduced her to Michael. She went on and on how she loved all his movies and his television shows. When she walked away I said, 'she's like Skippy'. Skippy was the annoying neighbor to the Keatons, who just loved Mallory.
2. This crooner walked by my table and said in the softest and sweetest voice. "I'd like to play blackjack with you, but my wife is playing over there." This singer is also known for his ability act. He was in the movie, "Hope Floats" with Sandra Bullock. He also won a Grammy in 1990 for Jazz Vocal Performance by a male for "When Harry Met Sally". Who is this gentleman?

Answer: Harry Connick Jr.

Harry was born in New Orleans in 1967. He has thrived in his life time, winning both an Emmy and a Grammy. He also has a 'star' on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. Many people think of Frank Sinatra when they hear Harry singing; some refer to him as "The Vice Chairman of the Board" in honor of being second to Sinatra.

Harry has tried his acting skills in television shows like, "Cheers" and "Will and Grace". He also starred in movies with some top actresses, "New In Town" with Renee Zellweger and "Little Man Tate" with Jodie Foster, to name a few.
3. Many years ago this actor was in Thule, Greenland filming the movie, "Firefox". I was stationed in the Air Force up there but was on vacation when he was there. I missed him, but I did see him outside of a Mike Tyson fight and told him that I was stationed in Thule when he was there. Who is the actor that played the role of Mitchell Gant in the movie, "Firefox"?

Answer: Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood is an amazing actor and director. Clint has been in show business since the 50s! He played the role of Rowdy Yates in "Rawhide" and went on to be the spaghetti western king. Clint had a few humorous roles with Clyde in the "Every Which Way But Loose" movies. He furthered his career by becoming an Oscar winning director for "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby". Clint also added politics to his resume, winning the title of Mayor of Carmel-By-the-Sea.

One of my favorite roles of Clint was in "Paint Your Wagon", one of the few times we hear him singing "I Talk to the Trees". So yes, Clint is the man of many many talents.
4. You can't think of the Chicago Bulls and not think of this tall player. This Brooklyn, New Yorker played many seasons with the Bulls and was most valuable player five times. Who is the NBA star?

Answer: Michael Jordan

I actually met all four of these NBA players during my years of dealing blackjack. Dennis Rodman did not like me and voiced his opinion, which I responded with, "You think I'm happy to deal to you too?" He was quite taken aback but laughed, hesitantly.

I recall a very lengthy conversation with Jordan on the table and I was telling him that I had his 'baseball' card. Some of the players laughed at me and said, 'you mean his basketball card." He quickly stuck up for me and said, "No, she means baseball". He did play with the Chicago White Sox and played in one game against the Chicago Cubs. A special Upper Deck Baseball card was created and this gal has that card.

Michael Jordan was drafted by the NBA in 1984 and helped the Bulls win six NBA championships. He has earned numerous awards over the years and is listed as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history in 1996. It was a privilege and an honor to deal and talk with him.
5. I'm dealing cards at the casino and in walks some of the cast from the movie, "Dick Tracy". I won't forget the look and smile on this person's face, who was born on March 30, 1937. Who was this actor that walked into the casino?

Answer: Warren Beatty

Warren has a sense of style to him. Which is probably why I just watched in awe as he waltzed into the room with some of his cast of "Dick Tracy". I enjoyed watching him in his films, "Heaven Can Wait" and "Bonnie and Clyde". All the gals were crazy about the world's most eligible bachelor, but Annette Bening won his heart and married him in 1992. Warren didn't win his first Oscar for acting, but won it for Best Director for the movie, "Reds" where he starred with Diane Keaton. I never personally spoke to Mr. Beatty, but trust me, it's a moment I will remember forever.
6. This sports figure has been up and down. Literally knocked down by Buster Douglas. Who is known as "Iron Mike"?

Answer: Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson was just a youngster when I met him, before he was teamed up with Don King. He was an innocent young gentleman, offering autographs to everyone in his path.

Through the years Mike has knocked out over 40 opponents and some in just a matter of seconds - 91 seconds to be exact when he knocked out Michael Spinks.

Mike saw his share of shame in life also, convicted of rape in 1992. Then in 1997 instead of winning, he was disqualified for biting Holyfield's ear off.
7. I dealt to this couple a few times over a course of a few years. Both of them were private, reserved and very kind to me and other dealers. Both of them were in the movie industry also. They may be divorced but they still have three adorable children together. Who are the parents of Rumer, Tallulah and Scout?

Answer: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis

Demi was born in Roswell, New Mexico in 1962. Bruce wasn't her first husband, but she was married to him for over 10 years. She was known to be the highest paid actress for her role in "Striptease", which earned her $12.5 million dollars! Personally I loved her in "A Few Good Men", where she played an attorney along with Tom Cruise. Both of whom I have actually met in my dealing days.

Bruce would just glow and smile when he talked about his three daughters. Bruce rose to stardom in his television show, "Moonlighting" with Cybill Shepherd for four seasons. The show brought us adventures, fun and a little romance between the two stars. Bruce went on to becoming one of the top box office stars with over 70 movies to his name.
8. I had just gone to a concert the night before I was dealing cards, but I didn't realize that the person I was dealing to was the one who was just on stage singing. He didn't say this, but he sang this, "well excuse me, but I think you've got my chair". Who is this country western singer?

Answer: George Strait

I came up to a table full of cowboys in cowboy hats, minus one. He had on a baseball cap and I strutted my stuff and said I just saw George Strait in concert. They laughed at me and said, "You don't even know he's sitting at this table!". They were right. When he looked up and smiled I said, "I had really bad seats!"

George is known as "the King of Country" and was awarded the Entertainer of the Year at least three times. The first time was in 1989. I was also lucky enough to deal to his sweet wife, Norma, who was the sweetest thing. They were married in 1971. George and Norma had two children, with their first child, Jenifer, losing her life due to a car accident. They have set up the Jenifer Lynn Strait Foundation that helps children in Texas.
9. Robert De Niro played this man in the movie, "Raging Bull". Who was the fighter whom I was dealing blackjack to?

Answer: Jake LaMotta

As I was dealing to Jake I couldn't help but notice has hands. Full of scars all over his knuckles and fingers. Jake was born in Manhattan in 1922. He was a world middleweight champion. He won over 80 fights in his lifetime. He put his life into words, "Raging Bull: My Story" and then was approached about a movie. De Niro won an Oscar for his portrayal of 'the Raging Bull'. I can tell you I won't forget dealing to him and I will never forget those hands. Those hands that knocked many men down.
10. I honestly had no idea who this woman was sitting at my blackjack table. Everyone at the table knew, except for me. They said she was in "Fantastic Four". Nope, They said she was in "Into the Blue". Nope, didn't help. They said she was in "Good Luck Chuck". Can you name the actress I was dealing to?

Answer: Jessica Alba

I felt so silly, I had no idea who this beautiful actress was, who was born in Pomona, California. Since that day I rented a few of her movies and yes, it was her. I will recognize her in the future. I also found out that she was one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in 2005 in "People Magazine" and named the Most Sexiest Woman Celebrity by Victoria's Secret in 2007.

We played a game of 'guess my occupation' on my blackjack table and I guessed her occupation as a dancer. You could see that I was very serious about not knowing who she was and all the players laughed at me as she left.
