Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Josh Randall/Hilts 'The Cooler King'

Answer: Steve McQueen

Terence 'Steve' McQueen (1930-1980) was the 'hero' of the anti-heroes during the turbulent era of the 1960s and 1970s. He was an 'action hero' before they had a name for it. His career actually started with the TV series "Wanted Dead or Alive" which ran from 1958 to 1961, where he played bounty hunter Josh Randall.

He was also in such notable films as "Bullitt" with one of the greatest chase scenes ever, and "The Magnificent Seven". But I remember him best in the 1963 movie "The Great Escape" where he played "The Cooler King" because he was constantly put into solitary in the POW camp from which he tried to escape...and that motorcycle scene!
2. Rachel Green/Lucinda Harris

Answer: Jennifer Aniston

There were two Rachel Green(e)s on TV at the same time: one was Dr. Mark Greene's daughter Rachel on "ER", and the other more famous Rachel Green played by Jennifer Aniston, who ran out on her wedding, hung out with 5 other "Friends" in NYC, worked for Bloomingdale's for a while and mostly had an on-again-off-again relationship with Ross.

The show ran from 1994 through 2004. For Aniston's movie, I wanted to give the character she played in "Office Space", Joanna, with her 'flairs', but I couldn't find a last name for her, so I used "Derailed" from 2005, where she played Lucinda Harris, a married business executive having an affair.
3. Doug Ross/Michael Clayton

Answer: George Clooney

George Clooney - where do I start? Before "ER", he appeared in "E/R" as Ace, "Facts of Life" as George, "Roseanne" as Booker and "Sisters" as Falconer, and so many other shows. Then came 1994 and his break out role as Dr. Doug Ross, the handsome doctor in a Chicago hospital; he played this role through 1999.

As far as movies, I had so many choices, including Matt Kowalski in "Gravity" from 2013, but I went for the more obvious Michael Clayton in "Michael Clayton" from 2007. Clooney played the protagonist as a high-priced law firm "fixer" and gambler who becomes the target of an unknown assassin.
4. Liz Lemon/Kim Baker

Answer: Tina Fey

Tina Fey is a very busy woman, i.e., mother, author, TV actress and movie star. She began appearing on "Saturday Night Live' in 1998 (and made a better Sarah Palin than Sarah Palin). From 2006 to 2013, she portrayed Elizabeth Miervaldis 'Liz' Lemon on "30 Rock". Art imitates life as Tina Fey, the creator and writer of "30 Rock", plays Liz Lemon who is the creator and writer of the comedy-sketch show "The Girlie Show" or "TGS with Tracy Jordan".

As for movies, in "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" (2016) she is Kim Baker, a journalist recounting her war time coverage in Afghanistan.
5. Rowdy Yates/Frankie Dunn

Answer: Clint Eastwood

As Rowdy Yates, Clint Eastwood kept "them doggies rollin'" on "Rawhide" (1959-1965). Yates assists trail boss Gil Favor on their adventures on a continuing cattle drive; "Move 'em on, roll 'em out". Well, as most everyone knows, Clint has gone on to bigger and better pastures (sans the cows).

He is the "Woody Allen" of seriousness, in that he has starred in, produced and directed a number of films (except for the writing). He played fight trainer Frankie Dunn in "Million Dollar Baby" in 2004, which won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor...Wow! And have you ever seen his son Scott?
6. Amy Juergens/Hazel Lancaster

Answer: Shailene Woodley

"The Secret Life of a American Teenager" (2008-2013) is a TV show which aired on "ABC Family" in 2008. I must say that the meaning of a 'family' show has altered dramatically since I was a kid! Shailene Woodley plays the protagonist, Amy Juergens. Fifteen year old Amy finds that she is pregnant after having sex at band camp with popular Ricky Underwood. Well, there's also Ben, the guy who she was dating, who finds out and is supportive; then there's Alice and Adrian and Grace and Jack, and I stopped caring.

As far as movies go, Shailene played Hazel Grace Lancaster in "The Fault in Our Stars", from 2014, as a young cancer patient. She was also in the "Divergent Series".
7. Buffy Wilson/Robert Langdon

Answer: Tom Hanks

The basic plot of "Bosom Buddies" (1980- 1982) is very simple and quite simplistic. Henry and Kip are two guys in NYC trying to make it in the 'ad game'. Since they are just starting out they need an affordable place to live, which turns out to be the Susan B. Anthony Hotel; as you might suspect from the name, it is a hotel for women only. So Kip pretends to be Buffy and Henry is Hildegarde (though not in a transgender way), and I imagine you can figure out the rest for yourselves.

As for the films of Tom Hanks, there are so many to choose. I took Robert Langdon from "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown from 2006, with my apologies to "Forrest Gump".
8. Jackie Burkhart/Lori Collins

Answer: Mila Kunis

Milena 'Mila' Kunis got her big break by playing the spoiled Jackie Burkhart on "That 70s Show" from 1998 to 2006. Some of her fame might also have come from her relationship with her former co-star, Ashton Kutcher, who subsequently became her husband.

At seven years old, Mila and her family moved from the Ukraine to Los Angeles (culture shock?). She has since made a name for herself by voicing the character of Meg Griffin on the popular animated show "Family Guy", and appearing in the movie "Black Swan".

She also played Lori Collins in the 2012 film "Ted", where the protagonist must decide between his relationship with her or a teddy bear.
9. Tim Whatley/Jack O'Donnell

Answer: Brian Cranston

I decided not to go with Walter White from the TV series "Breaking Bad" or Hal from "Malcolm in the Middle", as they just seemed too obvious. Instead, I used Brian Cranston as the dentist and 're-giver' Tim Whatley on "Seinfeld" (1994-1997). As far as film roles are concerned, 2012 was a banner year for Cranston; he appeared in "Rock of Ages", "Total Recall" and "Argo".

As CIA Officer Jack O'Donnell, he was the boss of Tony Mendez (played by Ben Affleck) in Affleck's Award winning political thriller "Argo".
10. Sydney Bristow/Kelly Cooper

Answer: Jennifer Garner

Jennifer played the protagonist Sydney Bristow on J.J. Abrams TV show "Alias", from 2001 to 2006. Sydney became an international spy for a secret branch of the CIA (at least, that's what she thought). Her movie debut was (unfortunately) in "Dude, Where's My Car?" in 2000. From there she went on to have roles in "13 Going on 30", "Daredevil", "Pearl Harbor", and in the highly acclaimed 2013 film "Dallas Buyers Club" with Matthew McConaughey.

More recently, Garner appeared in "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"(2014) as Kelly Cooper, Alexander's mother.

She certainly has run the acting gamut!
