Answer: The Town

Watch out, for the nuns in "The Town" come heavily armed, and are not averse to robbery and kidnapping. Ben Affleck followed up his critically acclaimed "Gone Baby Gone" with this film, which was his second feature film as director. The title of the movie refers to its setting - Charlestown, Boston, which the movie claims is "the bank robbery capital of the world". Affleck plays the leader of a four-man crew of bank robbers, who pull off an armored-car heist while dressed in macabre Halloween masks and nun's habits.

The movie opened in the U.S. in September 2010 at the top of the box office charts to overwhelmingly positive reviews, and also features Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and Blake Lively.

Answer: A prostitute

Not surprisingly, Sister Mary Francis isn't there to save Lechero's soul. On the contrary, she is Carmelita, a prostitute procured by Lechero's cousin, Augusto, to provide some female companionship to the prison-bound drug lord. The disguise allows her frequent access to Lechero without arousing the suspicions of the prison guards, and she even manages to smuggle money into the prison in the season three finale. Presumably, the guards at Sona would never dream of patting down a nun! Carmelita ends up falling for the lecherous T-Bag, after he protects her during a raid in the prison, and covers for her when she is caught stealing money from Lechero. "Prison Break" ran for four seasons from 2005 to 2009.

Answer: Sister Mary Clarence

When Deloris becomes the target of a murderous mobster, the police decide to hide her in the last place that the gangsters would think of looking for her - an old, rundown convent in San Francisco. While in protective custody, Deloris must pretend to be a nun in order not to draw attention to herself, although the convent's Reverend Mother has her doubts about the ruse. "That is not a person you can hide," she observes about Deloris, "That is a conspicuous person designed to stick out." The Reverend Mother gives Deloris her new name, settling on "Mary" in deference to the Holy Mother and "Clarence" in honor of Saint Clarence of Concordia, although Deloris initially assumes that her new alias is a reference to Clarence Williams III from "The Mod Squad".

Answer: 'Allo! 'Allo!

This farcical comedy ran on BBC One for nine series from 1982 to 1992, and follows the adventures of René, a simple café-owner, and his dealings with the German soldiers and the French Resistance in the German-occupied village of Nouvion. The main characters are often embroiled in various hair-brained schemes and missions that require them to adopt disguises, and there appears to be no shortage of nun costumes in war-torn France. Mimi, one of the waitresses at the café, has to dress up as a nun during one particularly half-baked operation to retrieve a box kite from a nunnery.

Helga, the domineering German private and double agent for the Gestapo, poses as a nun while searching a church for resistance activities. Gruber, the German lieutenant with a crush on René, dons a nun disguise in order to liberate his Colonel, his Captain and René from a POW camp. And Fairfax and Carstairs, the two British airmen, who spend most of the series in various forms of disguise, have to dress up as nuns when they are sent to hide in a nunnery.

Answer: Shirley MacLaine

The penny should have dropped for Clint when he catches his companion smoking a cigar and drinking whiskey during their journey to the French fort. He eventually learns that Sister Sara is actually a lady of the night, and that she is only pretending to be a nun to ensure safe passage through Mexico. That plan doesn't exactly work out for Sara, who has to be rescued by Clint's character at the start of the film from a trio of would-be rapists. Together, they succeed in helping the Mexican revolutionaries defeat the French and take over the fort.

Shirley MacLaine is an acclaimed actress, dancer and author, and the older sister of actor Warren Beatty. Her first motion picture role was in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Trouble With Harry" in 1955. She also had memorable roles in "The Apartment", "Irma la Douce", "The Turning Point" and "Terms of Endearment", for which she won an Oscar for Best Actress.

Answer: The A-Team

In the second season episode "The Only Church in Town", the A-Team's ladies man, Face, is reunited with his college sweetheart, Leslie, who ended their relationship without any explanation after he gave her his fraternity pin. A cryptically phrased letter from Leslie leads Face and the rest of the A-Team to Ecuador, where they find a frightened Leslie (now Sister Teresa) working in the Santa Maria's Orphanage. Face needs to gain access to the orphanage grounds to investigate further, but Hannibal points out that he is too old to pose as an orphan, which only leaves one viable option. "You might want to practice up on your rosary," advises Hannibal. Face and Murdock infiltrate the orphanage as nuns and discover that the occupants are being held hostage by a local bandit, who is using the orphanage to hide out while he recovers from an injury.

The A-Team swoops in to dispel the bandits and save the day. The TV show ran for five seasons from 1983 to 1987, and was adapted into a successful motion picture in 2010.

Answer: Nuns on the Run

Life can be hard for a pair of mob underlings who are trying to leave their life of crime behind for good. Their psychotic new boss wants to kill them for trying to leave the gang, the cops are after them, as are a vicious group of Triads, who are trying to retrieve some suitcases of stolen drug money. What's a petty crook to do? If you're Brian Hope and Charlie McManus, you do the most obvious thing of course - hide out in a teacher training school run by nuns until the coast is clear. Since a couple of gangsters would attract too much attention in St. Joseph's College, Brian and Charlie have no choice but to dress up as nuns themselves! Still, one has to give them credit for coming up with the best fake-nun names - Sister Euphemia and Sister Inviolata.

"Nuns on the Run" was written and directed by Jonathan Lynn, who was the co-creator of the British TV series "Yes, Minister" and "Yes, Prime Minister", and also directed "My Cousin Vinny" (1992).

Answer: The assassin

Piedra, the assassin, is apparently a master of disguise, having committed 14 assassinations in eight different countries, each time adopting a different face, name and identity. His latest target, Archbishop Fierro, is set to speak to a group of missionaries at the Convent St. Marcus, and it's up to MacGyver to stop him using nothing but some duct tape, his trusty Swiss Army knife, and his wits. Piedra shows up at the church disguised as an old man at first, but he is forced to improvise when the Archbishop's security detail start combing through the guests looking for him.

He knocks out a nun and dresses up in her clothes in order to get close to his target during a blessing for all the nuns in the convent, but his plan is thwarted by MacGyver, who switches places with the Archbishop.

The assassin gets his comeuppance when he falls on his own poisoned needle in the scuffle that follows. "MacGyver" ran for seven seasons from 1985 to 1992.

Answer: Carrie Fisher

Dylan, Natalie and Alex run into the Thin Man (Crispin Glover), the creepy assassin from the first film, at a dirt bike rally while rescuing Max Petroni (Shia LeBeouf), a kid in the Witness Protection Program. Dylan manages to snatch a pendant from around the Thin Man's neck, which Max identifies as a keepsake given out by the nuns at the orphanage he came from. The Angels disguise themselves as nuns in bright blue habits to investigate the orphanage for leads on the Thin Man. They are greeted by the Mother Superior (Carrie Fisher in a cameo), who informs them that the Thin Man came to the orphanage when he was seven years old after he was found wandering the nearby hills. She tells the Angels that the Thin Man was "a painfully shy child" who never spoke a word, except when it was time for his monthly haircut, which had the effect of sending him into a wild frenzy. Evidently, his hair fetish began at a young age.

Carrie Fisher is best known for her role as Princess Leia in the original "Star Wars" trilogy of movies. She is the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, and is an accomplished actress, novelist and screenwriter.

Answer: The Practice

"The Practice" was created by David E. Kelley, and ran for eight seasons from 1997 to 2004. The finale for the show's third season involved a lot of nuns. Earlier in the season, Lindsay had defended a nun-killer, and succeeded in securing his freedom on a legal technicality.

She is subsequently stabbed late one evening by an attacker dressed in a nun outfit. She is found bleeding on the floor by Bobby, her future husband, and manages to whisper the word "nun" to him before losing consciousness. Helen, an Assistant D.A. and Lindsay's best friend, is convinced that the attack was a retaliation for defending the nun-killer, and drags in all the nuns from the victim's convent for questioning.

It is only when Lindsay wakes up from her surgery that she reveals that her attacker was, in fact, a man dressed in a nun's habit.
