Located in Oklahoma City, the National Cowboy Hall of Fame is part of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Members of the hall are a mix of real cowboys and those who represented the heritage of the American West through movies, television, rodeo, or otherwise.

Inductees include: William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Barry Goldwater, Sam Houston, Rex Allen, James Garner, and John Wayne.

The Cadillac Ranch is located west of Amarillo, Texas off Route 66. In 1974, Texas millionaire Stanley Marsh III built the Cadillac Ranch, a collection of Cadillacs buried nose down, facing west at the same angle as the Great Pyramids in Egypt. With help from the San Francisco art collective "The Ant Farm", Marsh intended it to be a representation of the golden age of automobiles.

3. Would you find Harvey the Giant Rabbit in Oklahoma?

Harvey the Giant Rabbit can be found at Harvey's Marine in Aloha, Oregon. Originally a fiberglass statue of a man for a gas station, it was damaged by a storm in 1962 and taken to Ed Harvey, owner of Harvey's Marine, to be repaired. Harvey isn't sure why, but nobody returned to get the statue. Ed, a fan of the Jimmy Stewart movie "Harvey", decided to replace the man's head with that of a rabbit and put it in front of his own store. Forty years later, Ed estimated that 50,000 cars a day drove by just to see the giant rabbit.

Mantle was born in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, but grew up in Commerce, Oklahoma. A switch hitting outfielder, Mantle became a baseball legend while playing for the New York Yankees from 1951 to 1968. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.

Hailed at the time as a significant victory in reducing the number of Indian raids on frontier settlements, it was also a major factor in Custer's promotion to general. Known as "The Black Wall Street", the Greenwood District in north Tulsa, Oklahoma gained national recognition for attracting business from all over America. With the dollar prospering within the black community, fear and jealousy grew in the white areas of Tulsa.

In 1921, the alleged rape of a white woman by a black man triggered the worst race riot in American history. Gangs of whites randomly murdered blacks, burning and destroying homes and businesses. When it was over, hundreds of people both black and white were dead or injured.

The grandfather of George Bush and great-grandfather of George W. Bush, Samuel died in 1948 and was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
